I just found a hotel nearby when I was on the road. It was pretty good. It was more comfortable than many other big cities. The bed was a little small. I woke up in the morning and found that the scenery nearby was pretty good. According to the pictures, many foreigners would choose this place for their weddings.

We were up for the RHS show at Waddesdon and Rogerthorpe turned out to be the nearest hotel with availability. The charming duty manager, Simon, warned there was a wedding on the night we stayed. True to his word, we were allocated a room as far away as possible from the festivities. We had a peaceful night. The room was superb with three separate areas and a sumptuous shower/bathroom. The food was good in the pub style bar; breakfast was all self service but there was lots of it. All in all, a great experience and would certainly stay if up that way.

Went for food today for a four star hotel no air con in bar area it was horrendous to hot to eat left our food went outside with our drinks to sit out no umbrellas at all just sat in full sun loads of people complaining for a four star establishment not on went to a pub further down the road plenty of shade if our summers going to be like this you need to invest to make people more comfortable !!

Hotel is lovely. Only issue with the room is that there is no soap or soap dispenser for the bathroom. We used the shower gel to wash hands. Food was lovely. Staff, Logan shone out. He had personality and joked. Young lad but very good. Unfortunately the female waiters came across as a bit miserable. Overall though 5 stars. Would come back. Though the offers on the website need looking at regarding offers of dinner bed and breakfast. Superior room 99 but if you take the special offer it’s £250 with dinners and breakfast?

Second time visiting this hotel and it dose not disappoint!Staff were very welcoming at the reception like before. The room I got is very nice.Very well kept and also very clean.I look forward to many more stays if I travel down here for business again as I am from Scotland. But to summarise worth the stay in my opinion lovely hotel with brilliant staff.

we attended a fabulous wedding and the venue and food was absolutely perfect. Had booked a room months ahead and paid more than room was worth, also not allowed into the room until 2pm onwards so nowhere to get ready offered a disabled toilet geewizz. room was absolutely freezing with heating from old system which only blew cold air out, toilet flusher was broken and bed was so hard did not sleep and then the noise factor of emptying bottles out was terrible and so decision made to not have breakfast as to cold and tired to enjoy and just left.

We recently visited for a one night stay as we had an event to attend nearby. For the price point it is good value- great service on check in/check out- staff all very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is quirky and charming with a lovely outdoor area and the Jacobean Pub sells some reasonable food and drinks etc The bedrooms however, really let the place down. They are in dire need of refurbishment and need modernising. There are no plug sockets or USB sockets near the bed. The beds themselves are very hard and we had a very poor nights sleep. The walls are thin and we were woken up be some early breakfast revellers as you can hear everything. I don’t think we would stay again but would visit the pub etc

Our second visit this year, warm welcome by all the staff. Rooms are immaculate, beds are so comfy and had the best night sleep I've had in a long time. Grounds are beautiful and worth a walk around. Took advantage of dinner then breakfast in the onsite restaurant which again did not disappoint. Pretty sure will be back again, great value for money and just a really lovely experience from the minute you enter to the minute you leave.
