I just found a hotel nearby when I was on the road. It was pretty good. It was more comfortable than many other big cities. The bed was a little small. I woke up in the morning and found that the scenery nearby was pretty good. According to the pictures, many foreigners would choose this place for their weddings.

A lovely period hotel in a beautiful setting, couldn’t fault it. It was only us down with the room we were given, def not a room with a view! Our view was of the roof & air con units, not pretty. Dinner was really good in the Jacobean Pub attached to the hotel, 2 little niggles there, the first being a member of staff who attitude really wasn’t the best for the environment he works in. The other was our cold crumble, delicious though, but should’ve been hot

We booked the Suite experience for our wedding anniversary as wanted to return to our wedding venue, The suite was absolutely fantastic,we have stayed in a couple before and everyone has a different characteristic, We thoroughly enjoyed the experience probably better than we expected, The breakfast that was included was absolutely first class, Would we return? Yes most definitely it is a truly amazing experience which is well worth the money.

Our second visit this year, warm welcome by all the staff. Rooms are immaculate, beds are so comfy and had the best night sleep I've had in a long time. Grounds are beautiful and worth a walk around. Took advantage of dinner then breakfast in the onsite restaurant which again did not disappoint. Pretty sure will be back again, great value for money and just a really lovely experience from the minute you enter to the minute you leave.

We always enjoy an overnight treat at Rogerthorpe Manor. This weekend was no exception. After a lovely welcome at Reception, we unpacked and took advantage of the April sunshine on the terrace with a couple of drinks. Evening dinner was, as usual, absolutely delicious food. All staff were very friendly and attentive as usual too. The rooms are nice and the beds in our experience are very comfortable. After our lovely breakfast of fresh fruits and yoghurt and cooked offerings before checkout, once again, we were more than happy! The menu choice for meals in the Jacobean pub is very extensive, and we have always found the food to be exceptional. We noticed the new decor in there, too, and it looks great. We look forward to another stay very soon, and we 100% recommend this Hotel.

The room we were given was absolutely appalling. We were put in the old part, narrow stair case uneven floors Very dark On entering the room very dark Uneven floors Low bed None of the above good for a person like myself with mobility issues On inspection of mattress it was it was a square piece of sponge laid upon sterling board As you can imagine very hard We went to reception to as to be moved, there was nothing they offered to rectify this When I showed photos of Bed with Sponge mattress . I was informed this was a mattress. We had such a long journey, to look for wedding venues for our daughter. To receive something like this We did not sleep all night, we actually got up and spoke with the night porter, he was such a nice young man and we chattered waiting until day light to leave. The pub who provides Breakfast Evening meals It absolutely a must to visit , the food is amazing. I am sure the owner will be aware of the room, we were offered . When I reported it to reception to the older male receptionist, he was not concerned.

We have just returned from a fabulous weekend at Rogerthorpe. We were attending our daughter’s wedding and spent two nights here. From a warm welcome through to the day and beyond we were greeted with nothing but warmth and politeness and nothing was too much trouble. The wedding was handled excellently and went without a hitch. We were impressed with the attention to detail and the atmosphere was lovely. The food both in the restaurant and for the wedding was great and the bars and restaurant were good value. Thank you to ALL the staff at Rogerthorpe for a most enjoyable stay.

I went for lunch with my friend as I have done many times, always found the food to be a bit better than average for pub food. However on this occasion the food in my opinion was terrible. I had the hot roast beef sandwich, the sandwich was luke warm the beef was packet preformed sliced beef, the bread was very doughey, and it was supposed to have caramalised onions on which there wasn't any, I also asked for a bit of side salad which I would have paid for, the meal turned up without any salad. Needless to say I just picked and poked at the meal. No one came to clear our plates otherwise I would have told them what I thought about the meal. My friend chose some tapas bits which didn't look great either. All in all a complete waste of money, from now on we will change our lunchtime venue. Such a dissapointment!!!!!!
