The Dillwyn Arms

We stayed on a night that there were road works taking place all evening and up to midnight. The noise was not what we expected. I would have thought we would have been warned about this before we arrived. We did not stay for our second night as the road was being worked on again. In the morning the staff were unaware of our presence and were not ready to give us our breakfast. Unfortunately the room had a strong smell of cats which was off putting. I'm sure we were unlucky on our stay with the situation.

I visited for one night on Wednesday 12th Feb 2025. I arrived at the hotel around 4pm and was greeted by the host Nathan who was super nice and friendly.  I was shown to my room. The room was a really decent size, good on suite bathroom which was more than big enough. The room was perfectly clean and passed my dust and bed check with flying colours.  The bed was comfortable and I had a great nights sleep.  The breakfast was a full English and absolutely delicious. Plenty of teas and coffee and in the room with a nice clean kettle included. The room included a nice big wardrobe. I was here for the football as my team was playing at Swansea City. The stadium is just under a 15 minute drive and a fantastic location. All in all a fantastic stay.  The best part? The total cost including breakfast eas just £43.50. Absolute bargain. I hope to be back next season. 👍

Perfect!!!!! Food was amazing and reasonably priced. Service was quick and very friendly. Room was ideal for what we needed. Bed was soooo comfy, good sized room absolutely spotless with everything you needed. Bathroom had lots of complementary toiletries. Cannot fault at all. All the staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. Definitely recommend The Dillwyn.

Took my sister here for food last night and we had a wonderful time. We were offered to sit i the bar as there were to large parties in the restaurant area which i thought was very considerate. But we opted for the restaurant as the atmosphere was great. I had a Christmas dinner which was lovely and came with so much veg. I had the prawn starter which was also lovely. My sister had the fish and chips (real chips) and she said it was amazing. Huge portion as well. The staff were fantastic, rushed off their feet but wearing big smiles and so friendly. Very observant clearing plates quickly and offering you refills on drinks often. Between us we had 4 drinks, 2 huge mains and 1 starter which came to around £35. Bargain. Look forward to visiting again 😊

Im not sure when anyone else stayed. But i really cant find anything positive to say. Apart from a refund was provided quickly. And staff were friendly. The car park is full of broken solar lights, vegetable oil containers and not very clean. The inside looked dirty as if the carpets had never been cleaned. The room was nothing like the pictures or reviews. I really cant remember anywhere ive ever stayed being this bad. I would recommend avoid. Oh its on the corner of a crazy busy crossing. In my short visit, i could hear the crossing beeping, all the road noise from a busy road and the 'river' isnt picturesq I wish id taken pictures to show how bad it was but i just wanted to leave.

Had absolutely beautiful food here and very welcoming atmosphere by all the staff. Would highly recommend anyone living around the Swansea area or anywhere really to pop in . We will be visiting more often when we can. Menu was absolutely fantastic
