Crisp and clean with an inviting aroma of freshness. The service , food and the smiles were outstanding. I the hart of the city with everything you desire in walking distance. You will wanna stay for the week and utilize Nine as your base to explore all the Azores have to offer… and you will not want to leave. I recommend room 201 or 202 with the veranda.

We travelled to the Azores to celebrate a bench-mark birthday. The first three nights of the trip we stayed at this gorgeous hotel. Everything was top notch. The room was very comfortable and spacious. The hotel is beautiful. Breakfast was delicious and served in modern space with an outdoor terrace, filled with tropical plants. The spa was the added bonus. It was a perfect way to refresh after a day of sightseeing. The pool and steam room provided tranquility to rest and recharge. Bianca, the massage therapist, is excellent! I had such a wonderful relaxing massage with local Azorean aromatherapy. Awesome cocktails at the cool bar Etc. The bartenders were helpful and extra friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel if your travels take you to Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel, Azores (and your travels SHOULD take you there!!!)

A wonderful, beautiful, and clean hotel in a central location with great attention to detail and a keen eye for design. The staff is very accommodating and genuinely friendly. The breakfast is also excellent, with high quality and a great selection! The rooms are well-maintained, modern, and beautifully furnished—just like the entire hotel. The only drawback is the lack of outdoor spaces where you can relax and enjoy the weather. The wellness area is very small and unfortunately only indoors. But overall, it’s a wonderful place and highly recommended!

magnificent hotel, run with great attention to detail. All the food is very good, with particular attention paid to the breakfast, which is made exclusively from local and organic produce. The buffet is small, and that's a very good thing, as quality has been prioritized over the large buffets, which are overcrowded, dirty and unappetizing. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The pool is very pretty in the basement and not very crowded, so it's a pleasure to have the space to yourself. The bar is also very pleasant for a tea or a cocktail. And last but not least, the hotel is perfectly situated in an alleyway in the historic center, but remains very quiet at night.

New hotel located in a historic building right on one of the main pedestrian streets. Stunning indoor salty pool and steam room. Staff is great, even though they could have used an extra waiter in the breakfast room. Breakfast itself was ok - food is the one area where I think they should improve.

Nine Dots was easily the best place we stayed at during our recent two trips to Portugal/Azores. It is a renovated historical building that combines the lovely touches of the past with the conveniences of the modern age. It has super comfortable beds, soothing rain showers, a heated saltwater pool/steam room and cozy bar area. The breakfasts were excellent, with an array of cheeses, meats, bread/pastries and granola/yogurt on offer - the staff will make specialty coffee and cook egg dishes at your request. The restaurant leans to the Italian side. The grilled octopus and squid salad were very well done. There is also a reading area and patio on the upper floors. Hotel staff will arrange parking at a nearby garage and call taxis for pickups and drop-offs. The owners have clearly put a lot of thought into the design and layout of the hotel. There's no need to stay anywhere else in Ponta Delgada/Sao Miguel.

An excellent hotel that has thought of every detail. Service was excellent, rooms are well designed and public spaces are beautiful. While there is no parking at the hotel, we stored a rental (which is key to seeing the whole island) a block away. Right in town so everything is right there.

Excellent service and comfort from start to finish. Would highly recommend this hotel and their staff. We discovered the hotel when strolling through the streets of Ponta Delgada. Its exterior immediately caught our attention and was very inviting. We looked on their website and were immediately charmed by their ethos and sustainability goals and booked a one night stay a couple of days later. From our very warm welcome at check in to their genuine interest in our hotel experience at check out, we have to say we were treated with the highest regard and given a personal tour of all their facilities and shown to our room. Every little detail of layout and design was very carefully thought out to make our stay very relaxed and enjoyable. We had a superb meal in the restaurant and breakfast was very substantial and delicious. Even their pottery and their footwear have an amazing story.
