More cons than pros I'm afraid. Property is nice, location us good, they provide free luxury shuttle to nearest beach, staff nice and helpful, nice bathroom with Bulgari toiletries. On the other hand there's no Air-conditioning in the room, room is small for the money paid, construction noises at the pool, have to pay right away for items consumed (can't sign on the room). Breakfast variety of items very limited although they had a nice selection of good quality fruit. The cherry on the cake was when they made us sign a contract for iron and ironing board like we're buying a house ....not expected in a hotel where you pay 500 to 800 eur per night. Not recommended. Highly overpriced for the product offered.

We were surprised at how pretty the hotel is. While it is not a 5" hotel, even the old rooms are very pleasing. Spacious and very clean, as is all the hotel. The renovated rooms are beautifuly done and very functional. Two sinks, plenty of closet storage. Great Bulgari bathroom amenities. That alone is warrants a return trip. The pool is large, with comfortable beds and airy. The hotel offers access to a very good off site gym, three minutes walking. (Though not always air conditioned.) Breakfast is good, but the restaurant could be more inviting. The pool lunch is ok, but the salad portions were very small and quite expensive. You are less about 10 minutes to Porto Cervo. There was some construction ongoing, which at times was a little disruptive. Very friendly staff. We did not use the complentary beach, but certainly nice the hotel offers this.

A real 5* resort and perfect for couples (if you're prepared to spend a lot of money). The resort is isolated, so you're very much bound to the prices around the resort. We travelled as a family of three with a 2 year old, although the hotel and resort is exceptional, I wouldn't return as a family.

Beautiful hotel overlooking the marina. The rooms are well kept and housekeeping come at least twice a day. Nice touch for sweets and biscuits to be left in your room. The pool area is beautiful and plenty of beds for everyone, all the beds are monitored - as in you cannot have people “save beds” in the morning or all day, the attentive lifeguards take off unoccupied towels to ensure everyone gets chance for a bed. This has been a breath of fresh air. The pool bar brings drinks to beds, however as noted previously this can be a little pricey, but always comes with free snacks. Take advantage of the free bus the hotel puts on to the beaches. And definitely take a walk around the marina, there are plenty of cafes, restaurants and boutique shops which are all reasonably priced. Places to definitely eat out are the cafe piazza on the front, the romana restaurant and the Brazilian restaurant by the Spar. All are worth a visit, excellent food, service and views. We didn’t try the hotel restaurants at all over the 7 days, as we were having too much of a good time trying the others around the hotel! The breakfast in the hotel was amazing - catering for all needs, with a gluten free selection, soya milk, almond milk etc. There is so much to choose from at breakfast! The hotel grounds are beautifully kept, always staff tending to plants, flowers etc and all staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel is quite remote and walking anywhere isn’t an option, so either taxi or hire a car. However if you are looking for a relaxing and indulgent break this is what you will get. Stayed at the end of June and the weather has been amazing.

If your looking for quality then this is the place. Absolutely beautiful hotel complex, set out like a mini village with choice of restaurants along the harbour. The hotel grounds were lovely and well looked after. The pool was great too. I went away as it was my birthday and to my surprise a lovely flower bouquet was put in my room with a card, its the small things that make all the difference. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Beautiful hotel, great service, jaw dropping location and amazing breakfasts. You must go to the beach as well it's great and the hotel has sunbeds and umbrellas there. The only thing that can be improved was the rooms ours not bad but ours had a few handles missing of furniture, no glass in the coffee table and no cutlery and bottle opener in the kitchenette.

Unless you're into boats and yachts and variations on that theme - go elsewhere. There is absolutely nothing else to do here and unless you are prepared to pay upwards of €25 for a basic shuttle ride to the nearest village, you're marooned. We felt it particularly because for five of the six days we stayed here, it rained. Where we come from - South Africa - hotel shuttles to main attractions, like the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town, are standard, scheduled and free. There should be a regular, free shuttle to both Porto Cervo and Baia Sardegna - there isn't. On the upside, the rooms are very comfortable and the staff extremely courteous and friendly. Breakfast would put most other 5-star hotels to shame. But then what do you do for the rest of the day? Even on the one sunny day we had, everything extra comes with a very significant price tag. The two restaurants in the nearby precinct - if that's the right word - know they have a captive audience: not a bottle of wine in sight under €32. Excursions? The hotel spa? Well, I suppose if I owned a mega-yacht I might not notice the exorbitant prices, but I don't and neither did most of the other guests with whom I spoke. I discovered a disused jeep track up behind the western side of Poltu Quatu, which took me about 90 minutes to walk - if the hotel put the slightest effort in, it could be a wonderful addition for non-'yachtie' visitors. Wi-fi exists but, unless you use it continuously, drops all the time. Very irritating. Regrettably, we won't be back.
