I chose the hotel because of the view! It is of course very beautiful. In the evening there was a beautiful sunset. The rooms are very simple, but for one night it was ok. I didn't like the food, the seafood is fried to the state of chips, it was impossible to eat the fish, but the desserts were okay. I didn't like the breakfast either. But all this was compensated by the gorgeous view.

When you have a problem lemme, the management tries to help you. Sometimes difficult when the hotel is complete. The next day they help you and appologize. Third flour is very nice suite with a view. Good food and nice bar. Do it but never room 105 or 106 till fresh up.

The rooms at Girithale hotel are excellent, but I recommend arranging food from the hotel. The accommodation is excellent. Very good Location ,Environment also excellent. Staff and management very comfortable. Nice place to Visit. Every Excellent.

We had a lovely stay in clean a/c rooms. The meals are superb. The view is excellent. The staff are friendly, and kind and speak excellent English and French. They cater for strict vegetarians. The pool is clean and well maintained. The bathrooms are new, and and have hot water. We will return to this hotel and has excellent links to Polonaruwa and sigiriya.

Hôtel qualitatif. Le personnel est accueillant, disponible et présente toujours un beau sourire. La restauration, est aussi en quantité suffisante, et de bonne qualité, petit déjeuner ou dîner. Le prix des boissons, est raisonnable. La propreté des chambres est aussi au rendez-vous. Je recommande forcément cet hôtel !

Hôtel testé pour 3 nuits lors d'un circuit. La chambre était propre et spacieuse, la salle de bain dotée d'une belle douche à l'italienne très appréciable. Climatisation et ventilateur au plafond. Tout marchait très bien. Les lits étaient très confortables. Nous avons eu une chambre avec un grand balcon et une magnifique vue sur le lac. (Chambre 204). Le personnel était très gentil et serviable. La nourriture du buffet était plus que correcte (nous étions en pension complète) avec du choix (plats locaux et internationaux) et toujours différents desserts avec des fruits frais (papaye, ananas, pastèque). Le petit déjeuner très bien avec des vrais jus de fruit. J'ai eu l'occasion de tester le spa, j'ai fait un full body massage 1h10 pour 30 euros. Le massage était bien, la dame très professionnelle. L'ambiance très simple certes et pas très moderne, pas de musique etc mais c'était propre. Dans l'ensemble l'hôtel était plus que correct. Le seul point est que l'hôtel est excentré de la ville. Mais il est parfait si vous souhaitez du repos loin de l'agitation.

Lors d'un circuit, nous avons passé 3 nuits dans cet établissement. Dans son ensemble, l'hôtel est correct, les chambres assez grandes et la vue imprenable. Par contre, la salle de restauration ressemble à une cantine, la connexion Wifi aléatoire et l'hôtel est vraiment loin de tout, complétement isolé et aucun moyen de se promener alentour.
