Property Description
Sunrise Ridge is a stunning 3 bedroom log cabin tucked away on a 10 acre wooded property in the Lake Adger community. The cabin features a wrap-around porch with gorgeous sunrise views over the mountains. Relax on the rocking chairs or read a book in the hammock and if you're quiet enough you'll be sure to get a visit from a family of deer. When you're done relaxing, take a walk through the woods on the 13 mile Lake Adger Trail that runs through the wooded part of our property or take your boat for a spin on the 438 acre Lake Adger (marina is just a short drive down the road). The home itself boasts a two story great room open to the kitchen and dining area, complete with a long island and wood-burning stove for chilly mountain evenings. The upstairs accommodates a spacious master suite with a queen bed, full bathroom and walk-in closet. The cozy loft space is perfect for work, play, or relaxation. Step out on the loft's balcony to watch the deer play in the backyard. The downstairs has two guest bedrooms; one sleeps two with a queen bed, the other sleeps four with a twin over full bunkbed with a pull-out twin trundle bed tucked away. There's an additional full bathroom in the main hallway on the first floor, across from the full-size washer and dryer. The expansive deck wraps around three sides of the home adding 875 square feet of covered outdoor space to relish the mountain views and morning sunrise. While the property itself is private and secluded, it is conveniently located to all of the amenities the area has to offer. This stunning cabin is 14.3 miles to Chimney Rock State Park, 13.6 miles to the Beach at Lake Lure, and 10.8 miles to the Tryon International Equestrian Center (TIEC). Mill Spring and the foothills are also home to some of North Carolina's finest wineries, with over 5 active wineries available to visit in the immediate area. The cabin was perfect for what we were looking for - rest and relaxation. We didn't spend too much time outside except for a short hike we took on the nearby trail (lot of steep hills so not for beginners). The cabin was clean and comfortable and the hosts were communicative when needed.

We had a wonderful stay at Sunrise Ridge. The hosts are very friendly and responsive. The property is very cozy, and it is a great place to stay when riding at Tryon. Thank you for waiving the cleaning fee and for not leaving a long to-do list before departure! We look forward to returning!

It was a beautiful, peaceful cabin, surrounded by nature. Two fawns came across the property every morning just before sunrise and hung around for almost an hour. Communication with the host was easy with prompt responses. Hot showers after long hikes, a kitchen stocked with all the cooking utensils and gadgets you could possibly need, and easy instructions to enjoy the amenities.I do recommend taking walking sticks if you walk the Lake Adger Trail. From the house, there are major hills covered in pine needles...if it was snowy, good sledding for the adventure seeker As this property is not on the lake and the lake is private, we were not able to find a way to see more than glimpses of it from the little road.If you're looking for a peaceful getaway with space for family or friends, this is a great place!

Second Time Here and We Love It This property is awesome! The cabin is great and spacious! There’s so much room to run around outside of the cabin, a little play area for our toddler (he loooooooves it!), a hiking trail through the property, other trails a short drive away. A majority of the Blue Ridge parkway was closed this time because of last years hurricane, but we still had a blast! The ticks were plentiful on the trails this year…which was a little yuck…I bought some tick repellent and that seemed to help immensely. That had nothing to do with the cleanliness of the property, but just the area in general was plentiful in ticks.

Family wedding weekend The cabin was better than expected and very quaint. Loved the wrap around porch and hammock. The area is breathtakingly beautiful. We were amazed at all the cracks and creak sounds the cabin made. Thank you for sharing such a tranquil and beautiful cabin. defindefinitely

Great all around We had a fantastic time! The house and surrounding area was beautiful. Had privacy but neighbors not to far. Everything we needed and more! The basket with smores stuff was so sweet and thoughtful. We will definitely be back for another stay!
