Mount View Pokhara

Quiet and clean, although 5 minutes walk away from the main street along the lake. The hospitality, smiles and helpfulness of the staff were excellent, the restaurant/café on the 1st floor was easy to use and tasty, the view from the terrace on the 6th floor was very pleasant and beautiful, the restaurant was very nice, and the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the location of the hotel is very close to the main street. I would stay there again if I have a chance to visit Pokhara.

Pokhara after trekking We stayed at this hotel after a 5 day trek. The hotel is in a great location. Our rooms had balconies and AC. The AC could have worked a little better. The food I did have was good. There was a language barrier with room service but they handled it! All in all it’s a nice little place.

Decent rooms, close to Lakeside amenities and friendly staff ( perhaps with the exception of the lurking manager who studiously avoided making any contact with guests which we found amusing ) Did not rate the buffet breakfast at all. Limited choice and some options were vile hence the 4 stars. You will find much better breakfast for the same price within a 5-10 minute walk.

After a two week tre this hotel met our needs perfectly: clean, comfortable, air-conditioned, good breakfast with polite and efficient service. Excellent value at off-season rates. Our guide recommended this hotel and we followed this because we had not any research because we did not plan to visit Pokhara. It was a very good choice and I would return. Although an uninspiring modern building from the outside, we were quite impressed during our two nights here. The hotel including the room was very clean. The room was quite spacious; plenty of room for clothes and bags. The beds were comfortable and the linen spotless. The air conditioning worked very well - a necessity in Pokhara during August, I think. The breakfast buffet had a good choice of items which were reasonably well-cooked and warm enough - fried eggs were good, not 'rubbery' as so often is the case. The coffee was OK but at least it was unlimited. The location, close to Lakeside Road, is convenient for restaurants and shops and walking to the lake. The staff were polite though there was limited interaction with them because it was a smooth stay with no issues to discuss. If you are looking for a traditionally-built Nepali hotel with lots of carved wood and an ambience to match, then this isn't it. If you are looking for a comfortable, clean, fully-functional place to stay this may well suit your needs. The twin-room with breakfast cost $22 per night - I could easily spend this on a leisurely breakfast in a cafe - excellent value.

We stayed at Hotel Mount View Pokhara for our Annapurna Base Camp Trek with Icicles Adventures. We had a very comfortable stay both before and after the trek. The staff were very kind and helpful and looked after our bags while we were away. The restaurant also has a nice breakfast buffet and nice dinner when we were too tired to go into town! We had a lovely stay here and would recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Pokhara. The location was also good and near the town centre and the lakeside.
