An der Sarankgot Road, eine halbe Stimde von Pokhara entfernt, liegt das Belgian Hotel. Dort gibt es Zimmer unterschiedlicher Preiskategorien. Das günstigste kostet gerade einmal 1.000 Rupien pro Nacht. Empfehlenswert ist beispielsweise das Zimmer „Brussels“, welches einen Balkon mit Blick auf den Himalaya bietet, sauber und geräumig ist. Es gibt ein gutes Frühstück, das oft eine Suppe beinhaltet sowie Eierspeisen, Brot, auch selbstgebackenes, Marmelade, Kaffee, Tee. Das Abendessen kann auf einer Karte selbst ausgewählt werden. Ausgezeichnet war das Daal Baat, eine nepalische Spezialität. Die Frau des belgischen Inhabers, eine Nepalesin mit guten Englischkenntnissen, war sehr freundlich. Sie leitet das Hotel gemeinsam mit ihrem Bruder. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist absolut in Ordnung. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen.

Disrespectful attitude towards guests by the male Nepali manager. The shower leaked and the AC didn’t work. Very overpriced! The manager harassed us at the checkout asking if we took anything from the minibar. AVOID this place and spend your money at elsewhere.
