We were traveling to Bordeaux and stopped for 2 nights with Phillipe in Poitiers. Clos de Moulins was the most perfect stay and Phillipe the perfect host! We really didn’t want to leave. The bedrooms were beautifully furnished and the house too. Phillipe’s breakfast was astonishing. His breakfast included local produce , with fruit and herbs from his loved garden, a pure delight! A beautiful dinning room for breakfast and also the use of a small kitchen area for tea and coffee etc. Private parking, although tight was an added bonus and Phillipe’s arrival contact with instructions took all the stress out of the journey, he very kindly let us check in earlier too! There is nothing I can say about Clos de Moulins that would be negative! We hope to return at another time when the Notre-Dame church has re- opened. ( which is easily within walking distance ) . Thank you Phillipe !

Wonderful setting, exquisite food and a beautifully comfortable room. No detail is overlooked, and all is environmentally friendly. Philippe is a remarkable host, very knowledgeable about the food which he prepares so lovingly.

The most incredible B and B. Beautifully appointed clean rooms. The breakfast in the garden was superb. Probably the best breakfast we have ever eaten. We absolutely loved our stay here and will most certainly return. Philippe was the most wonderful host. We were able to park and charge our car securely which was a huge bonus.

This was simply the best bed and breakfast we have stayed in. Philippe was so welcoming, and gave us plenty of information about Poitiers, which was a short walk in to the centre from the house. The garden is delightful, the room was beautifully decorated, immaculately clean and very comfortable, with a view over the river. Breakfast was delicious, homemade jams, homemade yogurts and matured goats cheese, with breads and croissants, and an egg dish from his own chickens, all dressed with his home grown herbs and flowers. We were even given a gift bag on departure with artisan soaps in it. Philippe is an advocate for environmental matters, and he runs the house as sustainably as he can. We would certainly stay here again if we are in the area, and would highly recommend you visit.

First time to Poitiers and was fortunate to discover such a wonderful place to stay close to the Notre Dame cathedral. The room was spacious, nicely furnished and comfortable. There was also access to a kitchen to make tea, coffee etc. Philippe is a lovely welcoming host, he was very patient and helpful with our many questions and requests, nothing was too much trouble . Breakfast was delicious, light and refreshing with many items home made and coming from the garden. Would certainly stay again if in the area

We discovered this high rate B&B6 or seven years ago on our journeys through France we would not miss going there on every trip. It’s a beautiful room a beautiful breakfast and a really friendly host cannot speak highly enough of this beautiful place in Poitier.
