Superb boutique hotel. Staff, service and accommodations were first class and extremely helpful with recommendations on restaurants, hikes, wineries, local attractions including train to St Moritz etc..
The views from lobby lounge and room balconies were magical.
Overall, what you would hope a European stay would be.

Hotel caratteristico, accogliente e curato nel dettagli. Si posiziona direttamente sulla valle offrendo una panorama stupendo se scegliete camera con vista. Abbiamo usufruito del servizio colazione, vario e gustoso. Il personale è gentile e preparato. Qualora se ne voglia usufruire, la SPA presente al piano terra viene riservata ad uso privato.

L'albergo è molto piccolo: 11 camere che hanno ognuna il nome di un vino. Io ho occupato una camera con vista sulla valle che consiglio in quanto dall'altra parte passa una strada, sicuramente con poco traffico, ma che comunque è meglio evitare. Date le ridotte dimensioni non è presente un ristorante, ma il vicino ristorante il poggio che abbiamo provato serve ottimi piatti e lo consiglio. Proprio la mancanza del ristorante è l'elemento che mi ha posto il dubbio se recensire con 4 o 5 stelle, optando poi per la seconda soluzione perché: il personale è molto accogliente e gentile, la colazione è molto abbondante e varia. la camera era molto accogliente, accessoriata e insonorizzata, la possibilità di prenotare per 2 ore la spa in forma esclusiva è un plus notevole. Inoltre da quanto ho visto è l'unico hotel con questa concezione nei dintorni di Sondrio e in Valmalenco.

We are now enjoying the 10th stay at this wonderful hotel! The owners Armando & Elena and their professional English speaking staff give you a feeling of warm welcome, care and an exquisit service. This modern hotel of several floors is placed in the middle of the wineyard terrasses, above the town of Sondrio. The spectacular view of the Valtellina valley from your balcony is breathtaking. The breakfast is to die for, consisting of omelette, local berries, eggs from hens nesting i the wood, yoghurt and home made bread and pastries. We will continue coming back to this fantastic place by car, hopefully once a year.
