Clean and sanitary, overall pretty good. Due to poor communication, the room is not facing the sea view, but the room is relatively large and basically has breakfast. I still recommend it.

1. The actual situation of the room is seriously inconsistent with the photos. The wall paint has peeled off in many places. The sofa and the floor are extremely dirty. There are a lot of mosquitoes in the room. The walls are full of dead mosquito marks, and there are spider webs in the corners.
2. It is said to be a family suite, but it is actually a king-size bed room + a twin bed room connected together. We were given two room cards 602 + 603.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Eden! The hotel is fairly small, but in a great location (close to the sea), with a fantastic view, great sun deck and pool, peaceful, and very helpul and friendly staff. Very good breakfast.
When we were there there were always enough sun chairs to go around. The pool is good, and we also went down to the sea and swam. You can get in for a swim right where you come down. If you'd rather have a beach, there are some close by in either direction.
We had dinner at the hotel one night, and it was very good. If you walk north on the beach, you soon get to a harbour, and there you can find little food kiosks. The Bili Pivac is very popular with the locals, and has great sandwhiches and pizzas at very good prices (cash only).
If you walk south along the water, you pass the Le Meridien hotel (enormous), and then get to a marina with huge yachts. There is also a cafe there where you can get icecream.
There is very busy road above the hotel, but we didn't hear any noise from it in the hotel. It is however difficult to cross, because of the traffic (we crossed it to get to a little minimart close by).

Hotel Eden is a lovely family run hotel. It is situated about 30 minutes outside of Split in Podstrana with wonderful views. The hotel is very easily accessible by bus or taxi. The staff are very helpful, attentive and friendly. The rooms are spacious, modern & clean. We had a wonderful stay. Buffet breakfast had hot & cold options available. We also ate in the Eden Restaurant on a number of occasions, had absolutely no complaints about the food or the service provided. I have only given it a rating of four as the only disappointment we had was there were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Another observation I would like to make & it is not a criticism but a suggestion, is that at the end of each day it would be good to move the sun bed mattresses undercover as when there has been a storm/rained overnight the mattresses are soaked through, they also take time to dry out before you can lay on them again. Having said that it, we would be more than happy to stay there again, we would also happily recommend.

Please be aware that this hotel is very dissimilar to the pictures. What you see in these images are angled to capture the best parts of the hotel, completely ignoring the very outdated dining room, outdated decor with the Tv on the floor, which was not at all what we were expecting and most definitely not worth £1000 for 5 nights… there is a sea view, which is blocked by a massive oak tree. The rooms are nice but the rest of the hotel is a let down. For the breakfast, if you like everything cold and your fruit brown then this is the one for you. Very difficult when location wise there wasn’t much available in the area either so the option to dine elsewhere was very limited. When paying a lot for such a short trip, we expected more and were very disappointed with the outcome.
