Guests appreciate the friendly staff, spacious rooms, and convenient location near the train station and main square. The accommodation also provides well-equipped kitchens, good internet, and excellent air conditioning.

We booked a double room and then added a second reservation for a single room a bit later. At the time of the booking via the agoda booking platform, we had to pay a deposit of 36,90 EUR by credit card. A few days into our trip in the beginning/mid July 2024 we discovered that the double room had been cancelled (and not by us). We tried to re-book it but did not succeed and wrote a message to Explorer Hostel asking them to re-instate our reservation for the double room, to which they answered that we should cancel the (second, the remaining) reservation! We were shocked but cancelled our remaining reservation with them and decided to give Podgorica a miss altogether. Since then, Explorer Hostel has not refunded our deposit. A Mail written on 10th August 2024 asking for the refund was left unanswered. - I would advise everyone to stay away from this place.

We were two couples and we booked a four bed private room for one night. The room was really dirty and the bed sheets hadn't been changed for a long time (smelled terrible). It was expensive and the owner charged us an extra 6 euros for parking, something that was not mentioned on the app. Despite the above, I wouldn't bother writing this review if the owner (or somebody working there) hadn't invade in our room at 8.30 in the morning. He opened the door, walked inside uninvited and close the balcony door (that we had just opened to get our clothes from the balcony) saying that we shouldn't open the door while the air-condition was on!!! Please avoid this place. It is ridiculously expensive, filthy beyond imagination and not safe. Worst place I've ever been...
