This is a great place for those of you who want to enjoy a quite get-away in the mountains. We stayed in a royal suite on the 4th floor that had a balcony. The place was clean and had everything you need to keep you there if you don't want to go anywhere, just rest and enjoy the place. It has a indoor pool, arcade, pool tables, air hockey, shuffle board, horse shoes and many more things to do. The staff was very nice, answered our questions and supplied all our needs. Also one last thing is the area in October is very beautiful with all the leaves changing colors. They are something to see.

Nice place to stay in the Poconos. We had a 2 bedroom sleeps 6 with only 1 bedroom. No pans to bake in, no measuring cups or spoons, smoke filled the kitchen because of grease in the oven. 2 Beds in one room and other bed is sofa bed. Very nice pool. Table would have fit 6 plates to eat at but not big enough for 4 with pans of food. Nice whirlpool tub in bathroom. Balcony was nice on the 4th floor.

So, where to begin...? Wow. It’s difficult to completely put a review around this place because, quite sincerely, it may just be the most odd lodging experience I have ever encountered. We were privy to comments from staff that included: “Well, you ARE in the Poconos.”; “I don’t give a s&!%.”; and “Yes, that’s definitely not normal...”. The craziest part about the experience is I am not even sure I would say the staff is the problem! Truthfully, the place is so darn outdated it is, quite literally, falling in on itself. Now, provided you don’t need to use the men’s bathroom, washers and dryers, or the pool, on any given day, you may not be inconvenienced. However, I was lucky enough to be there when ALL of those amenities were “out of order” at the same time! Chance? You tell me. Regardless, the most convincing part of my review-contributing experience was the intermittent “buzz” that we dealt with for THREE FULL DAYS with no reprieve. Even better than having what sounded like a fish tank pump lodged between our ceiling and the floor above was the amusing interaction with staff when we reported the problem. Allow me to cut to the chase: not only do they have not a flipping idea what the source of the issue is; they have no intention of really finding out. It was a running joke among the staff that the “mysterious” buzz was being investigated as though it were the first time any guest had reported it. We had 3 “maintenance guys” visit our room to experience the “buzz” only to find out later from a staffer, speaking under anonymity, that the noise has been occurring for some time and had been reported by many guests before us. Couple the “buzz” with the dilapidated nature of the rooms and the common areas and you can rest assured that, if there were a nearby cliff, this lodge would be encouraged to “jump”. “One and done”, as they say.

This is a very old hotel/timeshare. If you are looking for the new type timeshares this isn’t it. It was probably very popular in the 70's thru interval. It does remind you of the shining movie which was ok with us. You have to appreciate the old woodwork and decor. It was very clean, nice and quiet. We had a renovated 1 bedroom on second floor. The hotel has no venting and everything is electric base board heat. It has a nice big ac/heat unit in main room. The main room has a nice Murphy bed to pull down and is comfortable - could be used for children. The room also has a table for eating for 4. The bedroom was nice but no ventalation. Each room has a TV and DVD player. The kitchen is nice with an electric oven, range, microwave, coffee machine (bring extra coffee). They give you a starter set of amenities for the kitchen. All utensils are provided. It has a dorm style fridge which was adequate. The separate bathroom was very clean and nice (no hair dryer). The pool area and hot tubs were nice. Staff were seen cleaning and are nice. They have a breakfast shop and game room. There is also a very nice bar/restaurant attached that the owner makes great drinks and reasonable. We booked separately and got a real good price for our 3 day stay. There is plenty golf courses and skiing close by. The outlets are close and great shopping.

I stayed in one of the mini suites this July. We were in one of the updated rooms. The only updated part was the kitchen. The living room furniture is outdated. Looks like it is from the 60s. With 2 adults and two kids it was a little cramped. The kitchen was easy to cook in and the fridge can hold a few things. The pool area is great. Most of the time we were alone when we swam and it was great. They have a great jacuzzi too. They have movies you can rent for free which is great. The staff is very friendly and do everything they can to make your stay comfortable. One woman Gerta is great. She is so sweet. By no means is this a 5 star resort but our stay was comfortable. It was clean and we had a great time.

I didn't have the highest expectations for this facility. Given the price and that it was the only place available, my expectations were a clean place to sleep, get a hot shower and have a bed for the night. It had none of those things. The first room they tried to put us in had no bed, only a sofa bed with a "mattress" that was about 3 inches thick. The ladies at the front desk tried their best, and put us into a room with a Murphy bed. There was a terrible odor in both rooms. Like a really musty/mildewy odor. The shower was lukewarm at best. The carpet was filthy, the sheets and pillowcases had holes, the windows were filthy. The cabinets near the stove looked as is "something" was gnawing on them. I took photos of all of the above. I wish I could post the stench, but I had to wash everything that was in the room, even if it was just there for a few minutes. Besides, I was afraid of the possibility of bedbugs. In fact I was so afraid of the possibility of bedbugs that I slept with the AC on full blast in a hooded sweatshirt with the hood up and with my pajama pants tucked into my socks. It was totally gross. An

This was $300 for 2 nights. For one of their mini suites. I knew the mini suite had a kitchenette and a sofa bed. And that an indoor pool was there. So I figured evwn though we didnt need all those things thats where the added cost lies. However, each room is different. They must be remodeling as they go some rwviews show gorgeuos kitchenttes... Ours still had 70s chip board cupboards with an old 60's style counter. Bedroom is the same 70s style. Smelled okay. Bathroom okay. No daily maid service, no continental, no pets. Hallways are very dated and worn out. Pool room smells musty and is carpeted... Odd. Overall it was okay, just not for the money. We wont be staying again.
