The Hotel premises are very beautiful but the shower was cold. Service did not help. Restaurant was good but could be cheaper. You get there per boat

We really liked Mawamba lounge. It really gives us the “Pura Vide” It’s a special experience - when sleeping at night, we hear the current waves, when waking up in the morning, we hear the bird sounds. The room doesn’t have WiFi, but we actually didn’t mind (as we could really be relaxed during the stay). It is close to the town, and have a natural path walking to town.

I can't understand the negative comments. What an incredibly wonderful lodge nestled in a beautiful park. We loved everything here, the accommodation, the delicious food, and the very friendly staff. I would love to come back anytime. Keep up the good work!

Tolles Hotel direkt am Strand und direkt am Nationalpark. Die Gärten der Lodge sind super schön und gepflegt. Wir haben nirgendwo in Costa Rica so nah Faultiere und Tucane gesehen! Einfach toll! Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und bemüht. Auch das Essen fanden wir gut. Die angebotenen Aktivitäten sind sehr spannend und absolut empfehlenswert.

Wer sich auf eine authentische Erfahrung im Nationalpark Tortuguera einlässt und den Regen nicht scheut, wird hier mit überwältigender Regenwaldatmosphäre, sehr belohnt..Das Resort ist sehr gut geführt und bietet trotz beschränkter Erreichbarkeit (nur mit Boot erreichbar) einen guten Standard. Litttle Eric und Candy sind sehr freundliche und kompetente Guides. Wer Luxus sucht, ist hier jedoch am falschen Ort (zB kein Fenster sondern nur Moskitonetz) Ich kann das Resort sehr empfehlen.

A brilliant couple of days, from the moment we were picked up to the point we said goodbye we were well looked after, particularly by Eric who was our knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide on the canals. Beautiful wildlife, and even saw a green turtle nesting and returning to the sea on the night excursion. Friendly staff and guides throughout the lodge. Fabulous. Pura vida!

Perfect rainforest and wildlife experience! Food and service was good, just dont expect too much comfort in the rooms. Great stay for 1-3 nights and the national parc is the most beautyful parc we have ever seen! Weather was unpredictible but so is life in the rainy season.

El hotel está situado en el mejor lugar de Tortuguero, a 10 minutos andando del pueblo y en el lado del mar por lo que tienes laguna y mar (aunque en el mar no se puede meter).con una vegetación exótica, habitaciones cómodas, grandes, modernas, con baño amplio. Lo mejor sin duda es q no hay cristales en las ventanas solo mosquitera por lo que oyes el ruido de los animales y de las olas del mar. Se llega en un barco desde la pavona en 45 minutos que puedes reservar con el hotel. Cogimos dos excursiones con ellos a 35e por persona. En resumen ESPECTACULAR...PURA VIDA

I’m giving 5 stars for the whole experience at the hotel. We booked through Trailfinders so already had activities included in our stay. The fact the lodge is only accessible by boat with no cars is part of the charm. Staff were good, rooms basic and yes we could hear the conversations of our teenage kids in the next room but all that was excused by the beautiful surroundings and the experience. The Caribbean Sea is on one side of the lodge and the river on the other. WiFi is only available in the main reception areas- not in the rooms but that wasn’t too bad either and encouraged us to get out of our rooms and socialise! Eric, our guide for the boat trip and the night walk had excellent knowledge. We also took a trip to Tortuguero town with a local guide which was really interesting. All in all a great stay.
