Spa Hotels in Plzen

We booked this based on previous reviews and were disappointed. We have never stayed at a Wyndham Hotel before and probably will not again. The good bits - staff were lovely and could not help enough, the hotel is modern and bright with excellent walk in shower. Beds were comfortable. It was very clean and we liked the ‘take a plant to your room’ idea. The bad bits - location is horrible on the junction of two main roads. Whilst a short distance to town there is no good walk, either go over an unlit footbridge to a dark path next to some open land inhabited by drunks at night, or walk on the verge of the dual carriage way and cross to the tram stop. Fortunately taxis were only about 100 czk. It is however directly opposite the Pilsner brewery and its tours. The in-room safe did not work and could not be fixed. We had to take valuables to reception. Breakfast was amongst the worst hotel breakfasts I have been served. The quantity and range was not too bad but the hot food was cold both days, waffles and eggs left under a heat lamp that just made them dry and not hot. Only white bread on the second day. The serving area was messy and not cleaned despite staff regularly checking the quantity of food left. The room was not cleaned second day until we asked and were told it was for ‘environmental reasons’ which is pure rubbish, I am happy to use the same sheets and towels but not making beds, cleaning and replenishing the coffee pods is just cost cutting, but of course they did replenish the chargeable mini bar. The back of the hotel and car park is accessed by a road through some poor quality housing, again with drunks loitering about. They were absolutely no problem just not a pleasant experience.

This is a great hotel. It's clean, comfortable, and the lovely staff could not be friendlier or more helpful. Our room was cleaned every day. which seems to be rare these days. The location is excellent too, near the main square. Highly recommended.

Check-in/Parken: sehr schnell, kostenfreier, bewachter Parkplatz Lage: Perfekt zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Stadt, der Brauerei, dem Fußball- sowie dem Eishockeystadion, dem Zoo, Kulturbahnhof und dem Techmania Sciencefictionfilm Center Ordentliche Gastronomie im Haus sowie auch in der Umgebung Zimmer: sehr sauber und ruhig, angenehme Raumgröße, Doppelbett mit guter Matratze, Badezimmer in gutem Zustand Frühstück: ein wenig beengt und wuselig, aber absolut gut und ausreichend Für mich sind das 5 Sterne und ein hervorragendes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis !

There are probably only two ways here: either you are spontaneously enthusiastic with the morbid charm of the ”Old Box” or you want to escape screamingly once you enter the allocated room... That in this only approach and place Renoved house of the founding time can be placed by the total of about 150 rooms at all 30, bordering to a miracle. You are surprised by the incredibly pompous staircase, the horror-fim-fit flat and the Restaurant from the time when the pictures were learned to run. Less movie-mature are the ice-cold heat bodies in the still a little bit furnished room as well as the, well, little invited bathroom. Invariable plus points: The perfect location at the viewable old town and the cheap parking in the Inn. The ladies in the reception cafe are friendly, and the breakfast included in the price is simple, but not too bad. Anyway or so: A hotel experience that nobody will soon forget.

The hotel is just off the main square but a very pleasant short walk and you’re there. Very close to Pilsner Urquell brewery, an easy walk. I was able to faintly smell the brew process (mash) in the breeze and can plainly see the stacks from my room. The hotel is two years old but looks brand new from lack of visitors the past two years and now seeing an uptick of guests. Bed/ pillows very comfortable. The housekeeping team does a wonderful job of keeping everything spotless. The breakfast buffet is top notch. I’m very impressed with this hotel. Very modern with coffee service plus electric kettle in room. A small fridge also. Room and WC spacious and very modern. Reception was friendly and fast upon check in. Definitely a return when in Pilsen.
