The best hotel in this area, bar none, but it can only be reached by car. The front desk is friendly and the restaurant service is quite satisfying. Remember to make reservations for restaurants and swimming pools, otherwise you may not have a seat

A fabulous hotel, super friendly staff and the best spa we have visited! The hotel is very clean and tidy everywhere. We had a stable room, it was lovely, the decor is modern and cosy and the bed was comfortable. In the room you are provided with flip flops and dressing gowns to go to the spa. We found it to be nice and quite, very restful after a long day of driving and exploring. The spa! it is just AMAZING!!! and open til 10pm, ideal for us as we spent most of our time exploring the area so it was nice to unwind in the spa with it's many facilities. We didn't eat in the restaurant as we were on a sightseeing break and out and about most of the time, we did have a light bite room service meal and that was delicious. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will visit again if we are ever in the area in future.

I’d been wanting to visit the Spa for a few years as it had come recommended by various people. The staff were all friendly, couldn’t fault them at all. The spa is nice, but just nice. It didn’t wow me & I’ve been to quite a few spas. My Indian head massage with Magda was lovely, very relaxing but not a traditional Indian head treatment as I know them. Whilst my friend and I had a lovely relaxing afternoon, it was heavily let down by the afternoon tea. I had to ask for replacement sandwiches as the bread was stale. Such a shame as the scones were still warm and very yummy! I’ve honestly had fresher sandwiches in a Tesco meal deal. My macaron cracked when I bit into it as well. Not how it should be either. I work in hospitality and I was quite disappointed that someone in the kitchen thought that was ok to send out! The young waitress apologised and changed it for me, the replacement was better but still stale. Come on Borringdon. You’re selling yourself as a top spa in Devon and charging top prices. These are the basics!! Not sure I’d return.

This place was okay the building itself was interesting to look around. When we arrived, I went to our room. I fancied a coffee. The coffee maker wasn’t working so I called reception. They were very friendly and said don’t worry we will send a coffee up for you. Thank you. They charge me for it later, !! my partner went to the bar to buy a glass of rosé and a rum and Coke he paid with his phone and then realised it cost over £40 so he went back to the bar and they told him that the glass of Rosa was £35 as you can imagine we were shocked and we should’ve been told how expensive it was. Didn’t ask for any pacific brand just a glass of Rosa. Would we stay there again? No, I felt like once you was in there you get ripped off.

Beautiful hotel and spa, the food in the Acleaf restaurant was some of the best I’ve ever tasted. The spa facility was excellent, only slight negative if I’m being picky was the toasted muffin with the eggs Benedict was so hard in nearly shot off the plate when cutting into it. Everything else was faultless. Most relaxing weekend I’ve had in a long time.

The spa is lovely it really can't be faulted however we went at a busy time, to avoid this I'd book after summer. The lockers were tricky to get in and out of, by the time we'd figured out how to order a drink at the spa it was time to get our treatment, (for people not so tech savvy like myself I think at reception it might be a good idea before entering the spa to ask if guests would like to order a drink to be brought to them perhaps? Just a suggestion as the option is actually there) Reception spa staff were EXCELLENT though, extremely accommodating. Massage was perfect but after my massage the massues took me back to the changing room and my friend had been taken back to the relaxation room, more time lost here. The cream tea was average but plenty of it so we were full and they offered us boxes to take the rest home which was nice. I will return but perhaps just for use of spa facilities.

My wife and I had an amazing time at the Boringdon Halll Hotel and Spa celebrating our wedding anniversary. From the moment we walked in the staff we so attentive and made our stay feel special. Upon entering our Wellbeing Room we had a beautiful card and gift waiting us. We had such a relaxing time and were able to fully unwind and destress.  We spent Saturday in the Spa and the reception kindly moved our afternoon tea to the Spatisserie, so we were able to stay in our dressing gowns as we ate lunch. The Spa itself was beautiful and clean, had a relaxed ambience and was quiet enough to use all of the facilities. The evening meal at the Mayflower Brasserie was really nice and we were well looked after by the waiting staff. A delightful surprise came out where we were given  complimentary fizz and chocolates with Happy Anniversary written on the plate - this was a really nice touch.  I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay here. Thank you to all of the staff.
