This guest house is spectacular not only for the tranquility and the grounds but most importantly for the hospitality of the hosts. Visnja and Andio wanted each guest to have a comfortable stay and accommodated everyone’s needs. Their guest home is lovely, extremely comfortable and welcoming. We ate dinner and breakfast there and it was amazing. We went in the hot tub after a long day of hiking at Plitvice Lakes and had drinks in their garden with other guests. We would highly recommend staying here, you will not be disappointed.

Tesla’s Gastro House was a wonderful first stop on our visit to Croatia. The property is very well maintained, with clean and comfortable rooms and beautiful grounds that offer great views of the countryside. Davorin was a welcoming host, and Visnja prepared excellent meals each day. Their attention to every detail was phenomenal — on the grounds, in the rooms, and especially the food. They made us feel as though we were part of their extended family. We wouldn’t change a thing! You must stay at Tesla’s when exploring the Plitvice area. What a great introduction to Croatia and the Croatian people!

Our family had a wonderful stay at Tesla’s Gastro House on the night before we visited Plitvice National Park. This place is so magical - a lovely country oasis, with amazing food. Davorin and his wife Visnja gave us such a warm welcome. They make you feel like part of their family. The property is beautiful and includes a hot tub and a dry sauna. The 4-course dinner was such a treat. And breakfast was delicious. We had planned to leave quite early to go to the park. But we are so glad we took time for the great breakfast, and we had a fine time at the park getting there by around 8:45.

Tesla’s accommodations were absolutely stunning—set on a picturesque hillside with charming, clean, and beautifully decorated spaces. The rooms were lovely: spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully designed. The common areas where breakfast, lunch, and drinks were served were equally inviting, with cozy decor and great outdoor seating perfect for relaxing, playing games, or simply enjoying the view.
The spa was a highlight, featuring a hot tub, sauna, and large garage doors that opened to breathtaking scenery. The owners, Visnja and Davorin, were truly wonderful—some of the kindest and most welcoming hosts we’ve ever met. Visnja’s cooking was phenomenal; we had both dinner and breakfast there and were blown away by the quality, service, and warmth they provided.
I highly recommend staying here—especially if you’re visiting Plitvice National Park. It’s a beautiful, unforgettable day trip, and this accommodation makes the perfect home base.

Tesla’s Gastro House is a beautiful place! Like new accommodations and amazing hosts. Beautiful property, very close to Plitvice National Park. Four course dinner and very nice breakfast were homemade and delicious. Many extra touches and the hosts go above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. Highly recommend!

My husband and I stayed at Tesla’s Gastro House in Plitvice and found it to be exceptional in every way. The beautiful setting is a 10 minute ride from Plitvice Lakes National Park, which has been a top spot on our Croatia trip. Visnja and Davorin are ideal hosts: warm, funny, informative, and serving well-crafted and delicious meals that show genuine caring and enthusiasm. Rooms are lovely and service is personalized. The jacuzzi and sauna, with beautiful views of the property were a lovely surprise. Our experience is one that we will long remember.
