Well, to start the complimentary popcorn and coffee was good. The hotel had a musty smell about it. Rooms were ok, but needed a good deep cleaning. My son asked at the front desk for a blanket and was told "we don't issue extras, everything you need is in the room." In the shower mold growth was abundant, towles had brown stains on them and overall bathroom was a mess he asked to be moved to another room, which they did. The room doors did not close tightly. Carpet need to be cleaned and the beds were really soft. Will probably not be back there.

I would like to preface this review in saying that my complaints are not directed towards the front desk staff or the management team, but rather, my issue is with ownership. And my hope is that this review makes it to the franchise owner so that he can hopefully view the situation from the perspective of a guest. Last night around 2:30am I noticed some bumps that looked suspiciously like bedbug bites start showing up on my forearms and stomach. I was already having some difficulty sleeping so I was laying there listening to music. I initially chalked this up to hives due to stress/some random allergy/etc. An hour elapsed, and right as I was falling asleep I could feel a very slight stinging/burning sensation on my right forearm. I have an illuminated USB type-c cable, and without moving my right arm, I grabbed the cable to quickly illuminate the area where I had felt the stinging sensation. Lo and freaking behold, there was a tiny bedbug about half the size of a grain of rice scurrying off to the edge of the mattress. So here’s the thing… I travel A LOT. I’m in hotels about half the year, so at that time I was willing to entertain the possibility that it had hitchhiked from another property even though I hadn’t experienced any bites anywhere else. I turned off the light and I waited… about 10 minutes later, I’m graced with the same stinging sensation. I quickly turned the light on and there was another smaller bedbug (which I squished) and a larger, more mature bug that appeared to be fully engorged. I grabbed a disposable fork wrapper and used that to capture the larger bedbug. I pulled the mattress back a few inches and you could see several smaller bedbugs and evidence of an established bedbug presence (patches of reddish-brown discoloring on the box spring). There was no way I was going to stay in that room. In hindsight I should have taken more pictures, but it was almost 4:00am at this point and to say I was tired was an understatement. The logical next step would have been to simply ask to be moved to another room, but the dirty box spring is what really got to me; the bedbugs in that room were not a recent development. I was already scheduled to check out that morning, so I packed up my belongings and headed to the front desk to explain what happened. I presented the bedbug that I had captured to the night auditor. He didn’t seem to understand what the issue was. I pointed out the bug in the fork wrapper, and he proceeded to bring back a handful of plastic forks. I was understandably confused and asked him for clarification as to exactly what solution was being presented. I think there may have been a slight language barrier there, so I’m not faulting him for that. He was very polite in handling the issue and explained that I would need to call once the manager got in that morning. Now I was faced with the challenge of finding a hotel that would allow me to check in at 4:30am after having absolutely no sleep. Nothing is free. Most pr

Getting better, taken from the Beatle's, is appropriate for Quality Inn. Here, they have indeed stepped up. However, the glaring issues remain with Choice Hotels collectively. The bathroom shower, had a safety handle secured with two (2) one at either end of the shaft, plastic cut sleeves, secured with metal pan head screws, sticking out from the bar ~ 1/2 in. at an angle of 45 degrees. In short, a serious safety violation hazard. Slipping and reaching for the bar, could result in a laceration. The 3rd shift clerk, was a foreigner with serious language barriers. At checkout, I showed him my room key #, and said the number, while asking for the slip/reciept. He seemed a bit confused, and then began slowly fingering through the desk top filing of folded receipts according to room numbers. It took him a bit to recognize things. The breakfast room has French doors, which have a large lock to secure the area, here , too, an elderly man ~ 10 minutes behind schedule, served up enough eggs to only fill the 6, present, hungry road crew workers plates, while another elderly couple entered the dining area, only to find emptiness within various segments of the serving area, and the elderly foreign, Esol, handicapped cook was "MIA". I asked for assistance from the clerk who gently oscillated his hand as to express patience. Still waiting for the system to work its way out.

We stayed for one night while in the area and were generally pleased with our stay. The price was excellent, the employee interactions were good, the room was clean, the Wi-Fi worked well. Would definitely stay again. The location is easy to access from interstate 79.

We were just looking for a quick roadside stop on our way through West Virginia and this seemed to fit the bill. It's mostly your typical American budget hotel and the price was very good, but when we got our room it was very hot and the AC took a long time to cool things down. There was free wifi but we had problems connecting to it. We're not neat freaks and usually don't notice the cleanliness, but this room really was quite dirty. Especially the bathroom had hairs on the wall and a lot of dirt spots on the door. The beds however were really soft and nice and better than other more fancy hotels we've been to. That's a huge plus if you're just looking for a quick night's sleep. The breakfast was very simple and below average, but there is a very cool 50/60s diner right next door so we ended up having our breakfast/lunch there instead.

Great price, used coupon. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, and the lady in charge of preparing breakfast room and food was very helpful and did a great job. Hotel has close access to the major highway.
