AI Summary
The accommodation provides a diverse and abundant breakfast, affordable prices, friendly staff, comfortable beds, and a convenient location near the beach and amenities. Some mixed opinions on other aspects.

After three weeks of self-catering in the less touristy west of the island, we were looking for a cheap hotel on the beach for five days. The hotel is well located for the beaches and the promenade, but based on the online reviews we didn't expect much else. The reception was friendly and multilingual. We got an apartment on the 14th floor. The apartment consisted of two bedrooms, a living room with kitchen, bathroom and a spacious balcony with a great sea view. The mattresses were surprisingly comfortable, but the couch (thin, too soft foam on a slatted frame) was unfortunately not comfortable at all. The kitchen equipment was rudimentary, at least a coffee machine would have been nice, as the instant coffee from the restaurant doesn't deserve to be called coffee. Overall very outdated, a lot of things poorly repaired, but clean. The taste and quality of the food (breakfast, dinner) leaves room for improvement. It fills you up but doesn't make you happy. We ate out occasionally. For us, the price/performance ratio was OK overall.

All staff very rude bar one English woman Dawn. Food is very limited. BRUSSELL SPROUTS WAS A MAIN DISH ONE NIGHT!! Local beer Is OK, rest of options very poor. If u like to get up at 6am and go to bed at 8.30pm this is the place for you as the hotel expect quietness at 8.30/9 although all inclusive is on to 11pm. Absolute nothing to do for kids bar air hockey and dated pool table. No entertainment atall or a heated pool. Playing cards to try and get through the boredom is forbidden after 9pm also. If your staying at room 100 which is actually a half decent room be prepared to pay extra for the veranda lock that keeps bending and been straightened out and used again. Also if too loud 200 euro charge is applied and threatened with eviction if loss of money if doesn't improve. ( try telling a 4 and 6 year old that who are excited they are on holiday) utter shambles of a place. Kitchen where food is looks manky aswell !

We were pleasantly surprised with the hotel, as I was very sceptical after reading many comments here. Apartments are quite nice, renovated, spacious and with 2 balconies. Breakfast was Ok, staff was very nice and helpful. Amazing considering the price!

Very old apartments with hardly any maintenance, no shower gel or shampoo in the bathroom, doors in poor condition, few and poorly located plugs, pay TV (hospital style), super old furniture, average food, especially dinner, scarce and without variety, I will never return.

The room is deluxe, the all inclusive is also really all in. They mainly focus on the German guests regarding food. My apartment was equipped with a kitchenette (not needed because all in) location is great. Nice price quality so worth repeating.

We stayed in a deluxe double room, clean and renovated with a kitchenette even though we had half board on the 11th floor. There were no bathroom products and, crazy thing, pay TV, 1 euro for 50 minutes, never seen anything like it, free wifi only at the entrance. Tidying of the room every 2 days, also changing towels every 2 days. The buffet with few sweets but assorted.

Now I'll start off by saying we are not afraid of booking 2* hotels, as we have done this a few times in the past and been pleasantly surprised - this was definitely no exception. We visited for 1 week from 29th Oct with 2 adults and 2 young children (5,8). We stayed in room 1303 I think it was - yes it was on the 13th floor and even though there were 3 lifts, it did take a while to wait for one - but that's our choice to be lazy, we could've taken the stairs. We had a 2 bedroom apartment - Yes it was a little dated but it was clean and very spacious. To be honest when I booked I'm sure it said no balcony and only a window, so we were very happy when we arrived with a large balcony and quite frankly the best view we'd had from a hotel so far. The shower worked fine, only think i will say is that over night there was always a strong sewage smell that came from the drains... but we just put the taps on for 5 mins and it would disappear. Ideal base for exploring the island. We had a hire car and we never struggled with finding space to park. Walking distance to shops and restaurants nearby - further to walk to Maspalomas but it was a nice walk on the front with the cats, which the kids loved. The supermarket shop next to the hotel is actually really cheap, even for the sun cream so go there first. Short walk to the beach - again you can stop nearby or walk along to the dunes, really nice walk. The pool wasn't heated and I only dabbled in it - I will compare to hose pipe temperature. The kids had no issues with it, although a little chilly once they were out! Food was the only downside I think really. We stayed all inclusive and yes there was always something to eat but it literally was a choice of meat or fish, with a type of potato. Churros for breakfast though with chocolate spread to dip in - happy days. We had steak on the first day lunch, but I think we peaked then - it was really nice though. But again it's a 2* hotel - no one became ill and we always found something and the kids didn't starve.. so win. All in all would we return? yes we would, probably the same time again. No fighting for a sunbed, all really relaxed. One thing i will say is there is no indoor pool like some of the sites advertise... it seems they have opened that out into the dining area now and boarded over it. Really not sure why they don't put kids entertainment on.. they have a projector for music videos... why not do a 30 - 60 min section of party songs for the kids... easy. Happy travels!

Getränke muss man kennen.
