HD Parque Cristobal Gran Canaria

We are a family of 5, kids age 4,13 17. All are kids have autism, they are all restrive with there foods, like there routine. One of us adults had physical disability using electric wheelchair. On arrival we learnt that tui special assistance team had failed to let resort staff and hotel no about the adaoted room we needed, we had email corispondence comfirming of special assistance team. What a credit to the hotel who managed get us sorted the next day with the room we needed. The room we had was number 75, what a perfect room for are whole familys needs, located right by the splash pool with patio and sunbeds right on the splash pool. Thos allowed us to keept the wheelchair inside charging up as sun bed was right by the front door, i could keep an eye on my younger son and middle son who need constant supervision. The room was big easy turning circle, little seat by the sink to sit amd have a good wash at. Clean and modern. Food, the best inclusive food we have ever had, there was always chips for the kids there skinny chips a must for us, hit and miss if nuggets were available so youngest survived.on chips all week. Its noisey in the restaurant so for those with super sensory processing needs we suggest take awat what you need to your bunglow this is what we did for younger child who cant eat in noisey setting. Staff. Polite, friendly, helpful for any questions, we arrived late and was told food was available for us. Welcome hot drink pack in the room too. Kids club for under 7s. Perfect thou if was open daily and for more hours this may be better, we cant leave are children due there high needs, 4 enhiyed hia visits to kids club who speak good english. Teens, would have prefered more activites in the pool, these were fleeting and only take place in the oasis pool. Pools. Clean, thet are ladder steps accessed mainly for large spalsh pool but oasis pool as level access with grab raip for easy entry they also have a water wheelchair to be wheeled in to the water. Amazing bit of access equipnent! Access for wheelchairs, its bit iffy at meal times around the pudding starion as not enough turning space. Reception toilet is a funny size and entrt exit was tricky but juat doable no emergancy cords. There is no access to rooms after check out at noon, hotel is full due popularity, they state showers in spa area and plentt charging for wheelchairs. Yes lots charging areas but a warning to all physicaly disabled people the showers are not accessible in spa area so you do not have access to this. I had to crawl in the one in ladies loo as id been for swim after being assured there was shower facilites. The hotel needs to put one in disabled toilet down here for guests on late flighta to take a safe shower. Grounds. I found in the power chair paths east to navigate as long as you stuck to them as if came off the grass area then getting back on can be problamtic as not flat enough to drive over. We had an amazing week here! We came as 4 adults and 3 children age 3, 6 & 8. All the kids were kept entertained with the choice of pools and we all enjoyed every meal we had in the buffet with no complaints (maybe only the lack of potatoes some mornings for breakfast 😁) Bungalows were amazing, spacious and clean! A nice difference to a lot of hotel having to all share one room with a sofa bed! A massive massive shout out to Eric from the entertainment team who my 3 year old son Phoenix still keeps talking about a week later. He never got annoyed with how many times he wanted to say hola or hi-five him and he really made playing jenga super fun for all the kids. My son even has a photo of them together next to his bed 🤣 We will 100% be booking to come back as soon as we can. Thank you for the best memories!
