Hotel Cache

It was the worst. There was no hair dryer in the room, so I visited 3 times, but they did not give me a hair dryer, and the technician came after 3 times saying that I needed to install it, but it took 20 minutes to install, so I couldn't use it in the end. There are no hangers in the room, no body shower, and disposable shampoo cannot be used without scissors. The window is unlocked and the safe has no key. Sound outside There is no soundproofing at all and it is noisy, such as singing inside. It looks like a room from the outside. I took off my clothes without even knowing it. There is no phone in the room, no elevator, and it takes 5 minutes to walk to the reception. Don't ever go, never ever

This place is a full scam. The room was not clean. The towels were yellowish and wet. The in-room facility is beyond terrible. In the room the bed and everything is a $20/night quality. The toilet has not flushed when we checked in. In the night there were night clubs, but the room is not noise proof at all. When you check in they say you need to maintain curfew at 11pm. Guess what, at 12AM, the bar in the hotel is still playing loud music. Before you book this place, make sure you check other comments as well. I forgot to take pictures, but you will know what I mean from other bad reviews.

Honestly, this hotel was charming, but the advertising made it seem more impressive than it actually was. The rooms were in poor condition, and the elevator was unreliable. Even after 12 AM, when they claim the music is reduced, it remained extremely loud. I have video evidence of the music being very loud after 1 and 2 AM. The pool was also always dirty with a lot of bugs. I understand it was rooftop so that may have been why, but I wish they would’ve cleaned it more frequently. We also never had warm or hot water for the four days we spent there we showered in cold water. We had to change rooms because they had mistakenly assigned us the wrong one. To be honest, the room we were given reeked of a foul smell of dirty mop water. The hotel staff was generally friendly, but when we checked out, the staff member took an unusually long time to return, even though we had informed him that we had a bus to catch. He still had to go upstairs and check our room, even though we had left it in good condition. I believe that the hotel should offer all-inclusive services. The breakfast is included, but the limited menu options are a bit annoying. If you want to order more than just eggs and toast, you have to pay extra, although the price is discounted. Even then, I feel like breakfast should include a wider variety of options. On a positive note, the waiter was genuinely the nicest person I’ve ever met. They also did let us check in a little bit earlier, which was nice, but we got there around breakfast time and since we weren’t checked, and we weren’t allowed to get our free inclusive breakfast, which to me honestly seemed unfair because we had already paid to be there the least they could’ve done was giving us free breakfast, especially when their check-in time is roughly late and the room was available earlier, so it just didn’t make sense.

Just don't do it. This hotel is entrenched with the mine is bigger than yours mind set. actually its a mine is louder than yours. The bar is located on the second floor and the rooms surround the bar at 90 degree angles. Playa del carmen is a fun and fast paced city. If you have a patio bar its is mandatory that you pump out the loudest dance music as possible with an absolute disregardful to the customers staying at your hotel or live across the street at a very expensive condo. Don't worry the music stops at 12:00 to 2:30. A logical person would see the math...30 rooms at 100 bucks a night vs 20 screaming locals or tourist drinking buck 50 beers and 3$ shots. Don't dare bring it up the the owner...she is indignant at best. After putting up with is noise pollution for two nights I informed her that I was checking out and I wanted a refund. She was having nothing to do with this kind of logic and I was not getting ANY KIND of credit because I booked on line with *******. so I moved to a beach resort paid for a second room in playa and the cache has my room sitting empty...and I'm screwed out of 5 days of hotel fees. The rooms are big but the 32 inch TV is useless. The old style key and lock doorknob is what passes for security. NO DEADBOLT or electronic key pad on my room. one swift kick and the hollow wooden door is open. Every room has glass panels open to the cacophony that is the pool bar restaurant. The beer was always warm...even right out of the reach-in On the positive sine the food was good and cheap for playa standards
