Coral Compostela Beach

The hotel is in the best location of the city: by the best beaches and at the same time in the heart of the city. Many restaurants and shops are a few meters away. There is also a grocery store in the building. Most of the apartments overlook the indoor pool. You have to be careful with the ones that look outside, because some of them face a noisier main road. However, among these are also the best apartments that overlook the sea. Although there are restaurants below them, they are not too noisy. The building has two floors. The disadvantage of the first floor is that guests leave in front of the terraces. The apartments are well furnished and well insulated from the neighbors. You can even go to the beach in a bathing suit. In the inner garden the beds are a bit tight, so there is no real privacy. 12 EU for two beds and a parasol on the beach.

After reading the reviews I was nervous about coming, we was in a 3 bed villa and couldn’t fault the place. The rooms were nicely laid out, basic and clean. My only downfall is the shower we hardly ever had hot water but after a hot day a cold shower wasn’t the worst. The pool area is good and day time entertainment for the kids. We didn’t eat at the hotel but couldn’t fault the location as it’s 30 seconds from the beach. The staff was all helpful and polite. We would stay again

This is going to be a long one. No reflection on the hotel itself Positives. The apartment is right on top of the beach. The pool area is lovely. We didn’t use pool but looked like they had lots of fun. The reception was good clean. The cleaners were round everyday with their lovely white towels and crisp clean bed linen. Unfortunately we booked an independent apartment through VRBO so didn’t have the joy of those fab cleaners so this is no reflection on the actual hotel itself. Negatives. On entering our apartment I wasn’t expecting a huge apartment so was okay with size. Settee to the right of room apparently was a sofa bed (see photos) which upon sitting on it was terribly uncomfortable. There was a blanket throw over it and upon removing it was horrified to see how dirty it was. There is no way this is suitable for 4 persons and that sofa bed is not suitable for sleeping on even if clean. The bed linen was not great. We washed it all including top cover which once again smelt unwashed. Mattress protectors full of stains 🤢.Beds okay twin beds but was, so glad to get back to my own bed as not very comfy The bedroom was dark and dingy and had to put light on in broad daylight to see anything. The two mismatched bleach stained towels and two hand towels were stiff and smelt funny needed to be washed before use. The visitors guide asked guests not to take their towels to beach. I have thrown much better towels in the bin. The bathroom looked great with washing machine until that is you use the shower. The shower head needs replacing. Most of the holes in shower head are closed making those in use harsh on the skin. Had to use on very light use otherwise hurt. The patio area was covered in sand and drink stain on the table and hair bobbles under table so patio not touched. We had a lovely time and spent every day on the beach hiring sunbeds and umbrella €12 or €8 without umbrella If you like the pool it does look great and as I say this is no reflection on the hotel and they were constantly cleaning and staff polite. We booked with VRBO in room 71K. Definitely wouldn’t book this room again but expect if you book with hotel may be better This owner needs to take some pride in this property. It need a deep clean a new settee, new towels, when he replaces items like toaster buy quality not cheap rubbish so the toast sticks in the toaster.

Given a studio room, right at the back of hotel, up 2 flights of stairs (not ideal for me or my father). Room very small, couldn’t get in wardrobe properly, had to move the bed and sit on the floor every time I wanted to get into the safe which we paid 20 euros for. Also had to get the technician to come and fix the safe because it wouldn’t close and when I informed reception they advised me all safes are located low on the floor to stop thieves! Asked if we could move, offered another hotel in Los Cristianous which had terrible reviews. Was informed other rooms in the hotel. Staff didn’t appear to care. I wouldn’t stay here again!
