Lovely hotel at a very good location. Modern, nicely decorated for Christmas. Polite staff, good choice for breakfast and dinner. Christmas dinner was something out of this world( been to many hotels, but Xmas dinner now will be hard to match). Not sure if it is always like this but we were the youngest in the hotel(43&47)during the first part of holidays and only later some other younger people joined us. The average age was 60's 😁 This hotel is not orientated to children but for us it was perfect- no screaming and shouting and our girl had fun in the pool by Herself and her cousin🤣 I wanted to book Spring Hotel Bitacora at first but now I am thinking that I made an excellent choice . That said, I might try it out next time just because of the All nclusive service Bitacora provides. It was a nice quiet stay so if you expect something like Turkey, eith music around the pool, kids disco and shows, this hotel is not for you. We were half board and 4 days we ate at the pool bar and were never disappointed. Good food and reasonable prices. We didn't book UP option because we were with the kids( it's for 18+)but if I ever come without them- I will try it out! Pros: Very good location Modern hotel Heated pools( wheelchair friendly) Good food and service Cons: No shampoo in a room! It's a first for me 🙈 The tiles in the pool (mosaic) need replacement. My daughter filled probably half of the carrier bag from the bottom saw of the pool🤣 All in all- perfect stay and believe me, I am picky. It is one of the hotels I would recommend to my friends and family

Dear Sirs We have just returned from a ten day break in Tenerife, where we stayed at Hotel Vulcano, this being the forth time we have stayed with Spring Hotel Vulcano. Regrettably we were saddened to see the detrimental changes to what was a wonderful Hotel, sad to say it will be a challenge for us to re visit the Hotel Vulcano unless there is a significant improvement. Upon our arrival we were pointed towards automated checking in machines which is the last thing you want after nine hours ( home to Hotel) travelling time. Unable to operate these machines your staff guided us back to the Reception Desk to be checked in. Then when I asked to pay a deposit for the room safe, I was told there were no magnets for the safe doors, it being suggested that we try each morning until one becomes available. At this point I informed the Receptionist that two years ago when we made our third visit to Hotel Vulcano, you had the same problem, claiming to be awaiting magnets to be supplied by the manufacturers. Upon our entry to our room (209) we immediately noticed the floor covering was coming away from surface which in some places had been screwed to the floor. When I went to the bathroom, I was a little concerned when I see to insects running across the floor, managing to kill both by stamping on them. Our next shock was when we went to the Dinning Room for our evening meal, which no longer had many dinners and no longer a ample supplies of food, instead guests stream from the hotel each evening to buy their evening meal from one of the many local restaurants in close proximity. The next shock came every evening in both the portion size of the main course and the poor selection of vegetables. One evening I asked the waiting staff if I had been served a child’s size portion of a Pork Loin in error, it was so small three modest mouth falls would have finished the meal, yes I was given a second portion ( twice the size of the first) but why was it so small. This happened again when I asked for a grilled steak (see photo) image0.jpeg As you can see 3 medium size mushrooms are the vegetables and a tiny sized steak. 25% of the steak potatoes were scraps of over cooked pieces and uneditable. Around the pool we were shocked by the 40% (estimated ) sun beds that had split and damaged fabric, tiles missing from the bottom of the pools. Finally on our last day while packing our clothes for the return journey a large insect the size of my little finger came running out from the wardrobe, fortunately two cleaning staff were outside of our room who moved the bed and using a spray and a broom killed the insect In allowing people to stay Bed & Breakfast you are attracting guests, many of which return making a noise and in some instances having consumed too much alcohol, they care not one bit about the hotel and abuse public areas. 2nd time here but very disappointed with the evening meal which was very bland. The chicken was very tough, salmon had no taste and no sauces which would match the meals were on offer. In fact one night my wife virtually had nothing to eat as the soups had been nice but literally the same but that night was very greasy, the chicken tough so just had sweets but these were similar every night. The breakfasts were the best part had a lot of choices and well cooked. We were in a pool view room with balance terrace. The room was always cleaned but the shower tray seemed to be grubby with marks on. Tried to rub them off ourselves but would not budge so don't know what the problem was. The floor covering in the room was lifting slightly. We had to ask after a couple of days for the dressing gowns and slippers which came with the room as they were not there. We went on the balance every day which was nice and peaceful but some of the sunbeds were ripped and broken. One day when it was very windy one of the umbrellas got lifted out of the base unit and flew like a missile across the area and luckily nobody was injured which could have happened. We told the lifeguard and the next day as still windy he had taken them all down. We have never been anywhere where this had happened before. We went to the entertainment at night which we found ok, Unfortunately we will not be going back due to evening meals - I believe it is going to a B & B but we like to have our meals in hotel.

I absolutely love this hotel and the location of it. Pro’s: lovely staff, fab breakfast, amazing lunch at pool bar, heated pool and amazing jacuzzi, room 369 standard room no issues at all, average entertainment, great sports bar, beautiful reception area. I could go on and on….. Con’s: only 1, the evening meal is terrible. I was served raw chicken on the first night so never ate there again and got a downgrade to b and b. This is my second visit to the Vulcano and each time I leave a piece of my ❤️ there. 9/10 🤩

This was our second visit to the hotel and overall we enjoyed our holiday. The positives - a great location and the the hotel has a great choice of breakfast, and extending it to 12 noon is a great idea and made the restaurant less crowded. Food was well cooked and varied. The hotel was clean, and the pool area is very pretty and receives daily attention by the gardener, maintenance etc to keep it looking lovely. Staff were very attentive and friendly, and despite the bar prices being a little pricey we did do a couple of the hotels shows - ABBA tribute, and Elvis tribute which were good!! The hotel is great for disabled and limited mobility guests, with adapted rooms, hoists for the swimming pool, and a dedicated mobility scooter area for charging. The negatives - the hotel rooms are in need of some TLC as other guests have said - cracked tiles, peeling paint, scratches and marks on walls and furniture.. Check in was very lengthy, only one person on Reception and it took approximately 30 minutes to get checked in. We had upgraded to a pool view and had access to the Balance Terrace which we found had no atmosphere whatsoever !! The drinks on the terrace - beer and juice were on tap (on our first visit they were individual chilled bottles) and the juice was weak and undeniable, and the beer was not good :( A lot of guests (including ourselves) who had access to the Terrace actually stayed by the main pool, even though it also lacked atmosphere. We enjoyed our hotel, but the price we paid I am sure we could have got better value. We will probably try a different hotel next time.

The Good… - Well positioned in Playa de las Americas - Lovely entrance atrium with lots of plants and trees, and theme continued throughout the outside areas, all well kept - Excellent pool areas, including two pools (one heated) and a separate spa pool. Never had any issues getting sun beds - Airport transfers included - Excellent choice at breakfast and also pool bar meals at lunchtime. Did not have dinner here, so not able to comment on that - Room cleaned daily, usually between 9-10am. Good standard of cleaning in room and throughout communal areas The Not So Good… - On check in, we were told that the standard room we had booked was ‘not a good room, if you want a good room you need to pay more’…not the best welcome and made you feel that they just wanted you to upgrade to get more money out of you - The room we got was one floor up from the reception area with the room door opening to the inside of the building, therefore very noisy when the hotel’s nightly entertainment was on and also when people were returning to the hotel late at night…ear plugs were required! There were also random noises which sounded like furniture being dragged along the floor! Parts of the laminate floor were badly scratched and broken areas had been repaired with screws but other areas lifting up and could potentially cause injury if you had bare feet. - On check in we were informed that there were no safe keys available, so had to carry our valuables with us. We were advised to come back the next day and they ‘might’ have some…we did so, they had just the one and seemed reluctant to part with it! The key required a €10 deposit and the safe also cost €3 per day. - The tea and coffee in the room cost €4 per day if you wanted it topped up…needless to say we bought our own instead!! - Around the pool area number of sun beds and parasols were damaged
