Hotel Best Tenerife

Disappointed I will start with the positive jet2 check-in process was excellent at both airports multiple staff to ensure a swift process also friendly Location of the hotel it’s self close to beaches, local bars and restaurants and shops However the hotel itself needs refurbishment and a thorough clean there were cockroaches in the reception area near to the luggage storage and both bathrooms had nighttime visits. This was reported after the first sighting . One evening at midnight under our window a lorry arrived to remove sewage that ran for 2 hours . One of the rooms had broken glass left on the balcony for 2 plus days there were children in the room. 2 of the party were extremely unwell with upset tummies. The food was to say the least substandard with rotten bananas served on a breakfast sitting . We were half board but after the first day and upset tummies breakfast was only eaten and that was good that was cooked while waiting There was also an incident that we found very disturbing the life guard had his phone out around the poolside seemingly recording this was immediately reported to reception and the following day to the manager we did not feel it appropriate for a life guard to have use of his phone at poolside and if he needed to get in touch with other staff some other means should be provided as the following evening he was back with his phone out We booked the hotel as a 4 ⭐ there is no way this hotel is a 4 star I would be pushed to give it a 3 All I will say is do your research

The staff at hotel best were friendly and made us feel welcome the whole time we were there. The room was spacious and clean with linen changed daily. Great selection of food caters for all. I would rate the food 10/10 and the waiting staff again, friendly and helpful. I would recommend Best Tenerief for all ages and child friendly. The pool is lovely and spacious with shallow end for young children. Entertainment every day/night. Reception staff at the end of the phone to help with any problems promptly.

The staff was very helpful and thoughtful we had an issue at check in due to no fault of the hotel. Which was down to the tour operator being totally inept who we booked with. The staff on reception especially the lady who worked on front of desk went above and beyond to help our family. Even at the risk of getting in trouble from higher management as they bent the rules to accommodate our family, as she was very empathetic to our situation ,which we was put in by the tour operator. Overall our stay even though it was ruined by the tour operator was somewhat redeemed by the staff, overall if we had the chance again to come back again and on different circumstances our family would give the hotel a 100/10 the food was lovely, the staff were impeccable and the house keepers deserve a mention, the rooms we had we cleaned to a standard that we would not fault a credit to the hotel, Overall a hotel we would recommend and definitely would book again,

Just finished staying a week at this hotel and would give an overall 3 stars. The food was pretty good there was a bit of everything most nights, breakfast is decent and lunch is really good. The deserts on the other hand weren’t the best, they tasted very cheap and unflavourful. The beds are super comfy but the room was not as advertised, the shower door broke off quite easily, the wardrobe handle broke, and the floor in the room and in the shower floor was also very dirty. The drinks are most disappointing, it’s a self serve drinks bar where there is nothing but cheap alcohol with no instructions on how to make certain cocktails. There is also a machine where you can have ready made cocktails and they are disgusting! If you want good drinks you have to pay extra which is absurd! Having to pay extra at an all inclusive especially is really disappointing , i have never heard of anything like that. The rooftop for us was the best, it’s 10 euros for a day and it’s worth it if you want some peace from everyone. We thought if we bought the rooftop that we’d be given free cocktails however, still had to pay what a shock! For a hotel this expensive and with all inclusive, I would not come here again.

We have just got back from an AMAZING 10 night stay. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The staff in reception, the bars and the restaurants were SO friendly and helpful, and the maids worked very hard to keep our room and the hotel spotless. We had one of the superior rooms with sunbeds and an INCREDIBLE view (thank you SO much for this!) Definitely recommend these top floor rooms (although the lifts were quite painful - slow and definitely not enough for the size of the hotel). The downstairs areas of the hotel were lovely with the plants and water features and seating areas. The shop had a large selection of good quality clothes and souvenirs. The food in the restaurant was incredible, despite what some people say! A huge range of delicious traditional dishes - paella, meats, fish, vegetables, cheeses, plus themed sections each evening also, a large selection of desserts, and a huge variety of all sorts at breakfast. The al la carte was definitely worth our visit also, very well presented and slightly higher quality than the main restaurant. We absolutely loved the self service drinks, the selection was ridiculous! Having read many reviews before we went, we took our own hard plastic pint glasses and smaller cups, definitely recommend doing this! People complain about the spirits being watered down but they are all only 25% rather than the full 37.5-40% which I think is sensible when we're all drinking in the sun ALL day! The pool and surrounding areas were really lovely and spacious, only complaint is the 10am pool opening time not being stuck to AT all. It was nice not having as many rules as other hotels but really, pretty much all the sunbeds and parasols being taken by 7am each morning was outrageous and annoying. The entertainment staff and day time activities were BRILLIANT :) such a range of entertainment between 10am and 5.30pm, they all worked so hard. Angel was crazy and SO much fun! Lastly, the hotel's location is fantastic. Right in the middle of the fancy shopping area, plus many bars and restaurants, and a really lovely crazy golf course. To the left is the quieter area and then to the right all the noisy bars and the *****. Everything was in easy walking distance so we could choose each evening what sort of night out we wanted.
