Marylanza Suites & Spa

Good place to relax , food very average. Activitys during day good for all ages. Dani was fantastic with our autistic teen ( thankyou Dani ). Great showers for when leaving resort. Drinks above average ( now two beers on draft ). Plenty of sun lounges with early restrictions enforced 👍. Safe / towels and late room option provided at a cost. I have one gripe ( air con in reception and entertainment room ). Its way too hot in there. I appreciate its warm etc but i'm convinced its not right ( yes i know i am in tenerife 🫣 ).

Just home from a nice week at Marylanza Suites. Positives and negatives. Rooms are large if somewhat tired, we were on the ground floor facing the road which could be why we found cockroaches in the bathroom, the lounge area and the balcony. We were advised that that’s to be expected in Tenerife. Never come across in years of visiting but took it that as we were on the ground floor could be more likely. Not impressed Food ok, but very repetitive and the buffet restaurant is sadly a room on the lower level. A shame as if it was up a level with open views over the golf course it could be quick impressive Didn’t go to nighttime entertainment as stared at 9.15 so often had a walk out instead A shame as the hotel is some distance from the ***** so would have enjoyed some quizzes or such Pools lovely, but where we tended to sit we noticed lots of used plastic cups and plates not picked up for our last 3 days, a bit messy Overall I’d rate it a good 3 star, love the area but would pick a different hotel

The hotel on entry is really lovely looking. We had visited Tenerife several times before and used the spa facilities here on site, on the basis of how the hotel looked when we had visited before we decided to try a weeks stay here with our children. Unfortunately there were a few issues which whilst not enough for us to say they ruined our holiday we did feel disappointed. The food available really isn't very good at all, the selection was vast with lots of choice however breakfast, lunch and dinner were all really tasteless. Even their coffees and juices were just not very nice. The Restaurant set up is very enclosed (they do have a small outside area) however there is little to no air in the restaurant making it quite an unpleasant place to eat any food. The smell when you walk into the restaurant is incredibly strong and quite off putting. Equally the pool bar snack food is unappealing and often had flies crawling on the food unfortunately. 4 of our party had diarrhoea, although I can't claim this came from the hotel food. Sadly, we ate out at local restaurants due to all of us not wanting to eat at the hotel. One of the rooms we had (due to party size we were given two rooms) had a very strong smell of drains throughout, we reported this to reception who explained that the air con units do sometimes make the rooms smell bad, they did send somebody to fix the problem and the smell got slightly better but the room still had a lingering aroma of egg throughout. The pool facilities were really good and getting a sunbed was never an issue. It was also disappointing to have to pay extra to use the hotel safe, I am not sure why when you have already spent the best part of £5000 a safe cannot be provided inclusive in the price of the room. The staff are friendly and attentive when you need them in fairness. Did we enjoy our family holiday together? Yes we did, would we return to Tenerife again? Again yes. Would we stay at this hotel again? Unfortunately not.

We stayed at the Marylanza for a week in August. A family of four with a 12 year old and 4 year old. We were pleasantly surprised at the size of the hotel and how clean and well kept all communal areas were. The pools were spotless and so inviting. Our room was poolside and a great location. It was large and spacious and again spotless and cleaned everyday. There was a great choice of food at breakfast (even proper English sausages and bacon). Lunch and dinner also had a great choice. Perfect for me and my wife as we like trying new foods. The themed nights meant it was never boring. A special mention must go to Laura in the animation team who really went out of her way to make our children’s holiday memorable. She is a credit to the hotel. The white party was great and children really enjoyed it. Also the foam party and other events that were held during the day. We really have nothing to complain about. It is not a large hotel. So if you want loads of facilities and choice then maybe stay someone bigger. But this is the perfect size to keep the personal touch and quality high. Thanks Marylanza for a great family holiday

Me and my children had a fantastic holiday at Marylanza suites! All of the staff were so courteous and friendly, the food was excellent and the hotel itself was well kept and always tidy. The pool areas were great and we always managed to get a sunbed. Our room was cleaned every day and towels were changed regularly. The location was great too - close enough to shops and restaurants without being right in the middle of everything! 15 minutes walk to Las Americas and 20 minutes walk to Los Cristianos. Would definitely return!!

Room was spacious but staircase a bit sketchy. Entertainment was good- Dani was a brilliant rep in particular- and the acrobats performance was amazing. Food got a bit samey after a few days but the ice-cream machine was great to have Only complaint is that a tourist scammer magazine lady forced my family to have their photo taken and charged us for a magazine, not giving us the option to do it. I want a refund as the woman forced us to have our photo taken without us consenting- doesn't this violate GDPR? Overall was great
