Caybeach Sun

Very clean and pleasant hotel- reception staff said we could check in an hr early- only issue was quite a walk to marina or town both 20 mins

Just returned from a 10 day break at Caybeach Sun. The apartment was a little tired but was spacious and was cleaned 5 days every week. The pool areas were great with plenty of sun beds so no need for early morning starts to secure a space. The grounds were well kept and it was really convenient to have the small supermarket on site. The location was good - about a 10 minute walk to the nearest restaurants which suited us well. It is uphill walking back from the seafront so understand it might be a struggle for some but not a problem for us. We would certainly return if we return to Playa Blanca. All in all a great holiday.

First time staying in this particular Cay Beach and didn't disappoint. Fantastic hotel in a great location, just a 5 mins stroll to the shops, bars and restaurants and plenty to choose from. Room cleaned and towels and linen changed 5 days out of the 7 and staff couldn't do enough for you. Easy check in and straight to apartment, which was just a short walk from the main reception and pool. Very comfy and good sized beds, separate living room with kitchen that had everything you would need if you were self catering, which we were. Sunbeds chained up til 10am but never any problem getting one. Had a great week and would happily stay here again.

Just returned from a eleven day stay, at cay beach, the apartments, are really nice and spacious, the bed were very comfy, the gardens are kept immaculate, no complaints regarding cay beach whatsoever, Found all the staff to be really nice and helpful, The only problem we had was that it is a twenty minute walk, to the shops and bars, ok getting a taxi into town, but getting back is nearly impossible, because of the long taxi queue, for this reason I would not return to playa blanca.

Just back from 11 nights staying in the Caybeach sun, and would return again. Yes the apartments are slightly tired looking, but for the time we spent in it, it had what we needed. Found the beds comfortable and living space a good size. Although the hotel was apparently full, we never had issues getting beds and actually found it quiet considering number of rooms. We went self catering and used the bar for some lunches and food was always tasty. Special mention to Andres who worked at reception, total credit to the hotel, the way he interacted with guests, making them laugh and engaging. Will definitely be returning to Playa Blanca and would consider staying again. You get what you pay for, One negative is that the spa shower facilities closed at 6 and we had a 8.45 pick up so was a bit early for us, however used the facilities at reception to get changed, so not a huge issue. However if we’d left on a really hot day I’d have preferred to have been able to have a shower before going to airport.

My young daughter and I have been coming to Caybeach Sun the last few years. We absolutely love coming here. There is an onsite shop that has all the essentials and more, staff in the shop are lovely. There’s 2 big swimming pools, a kids pool and water slides. There’s a pool bar where you can order food and drinks through out the day, staff at the pool bar work very hard getting everyone’s order to them, they are nice and helpful. The apartments are nice, spacious and comfortable. Reception and night staff are absolutely lovely, nothing is ever too much hassle. Especially Andreas who’s always cheerful and nice. One person who really stood out to me this year is Pika the entertainer, my god he is a ball of energy. He is great with the kids. Pika does activities during the day around the pool area and gets families involved adults and children. It’s great fun. Evening entertainment the kids love tattoos and mini disco, there does be bingo, karaoke, just dance and all sorts of evening entertainment for everyone to enjoy. Pika will talk to all the families and get everyone involved. He makes a big effort to speak in English for people like me who aren’t great with the Spanish language just yet . Hats off to pika he is very good at his job. The beach and town are only about 10-15 minute walk or 2-5 mins in a taxi. Great holiday this year.

We have been staying here for many years. Lovely apartments, basic but have everything you need. Clean, Tidy, maids were in regular to service. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Staff are lovely and friendly, entertainment man was great with the children. Breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice, waiters never stopped, kept tables clean and clear. We always cleared our own tables, not fair to leave your tables dirty. Pools were cleaned regularly, but the rubbish that guests left by sun beds was ridiculous, why people could not use the bins, just crazy. Getting sun beds was an issue some days, people were allowed to put towels on beds early morning and then not use them till after lunch some days, especially market days. It was better the days all sun beds were chained till the pool opened. We always enjoy our stay here. The beach and sea front is not too far to walk, where you will find lots of places to eat and drink.

Stayed here for 14 nights and loved it . Great value for money . Very clean rooms . bedding and towels changed regularly. Very friendly reception and bar staff. Pool area unclean at top pool a couple of days but this was down to disrespectful families sadly leaving their rubbish out to blow into kids pool and was not the hotels fault !! Air con unit was in the lounge area and if you left bedroom door open on a night this cooled both the lounge and room down. The air con did filter out into the balcony but there was a drain there so if positioned right this did not cause a problem. Only constructive feedback would be for some more cooking utensils as this was very basic . However we did manage to cook burgers and pasta dishes a few nights we were there. Great location for beach and main restaurant area . Thank you for a wonderful two weeks

Absolutely get what you pay for. Cheap and cheerful apartments in Playa Blanca. Yes they are a bit of a walk from beach front and the main shops/bars of the resort but we were pleasantly surprised. Our apartment wasn’t ready until 2pm but we were shown to a luggage room and offered to use the facilities whilst we waited (the kids took the opportunity to get straight into the pool!) when we finally got our room, I was pleased to find a gorgeous landscape view towards the sea from the balcony, it was very private. The room itself was clean and adequate for our needs, although because the sun is on the balcony all afternoon, it does get hot (you can hire air con but we chose not to) The pool area is great for the kids with couple of slides and two pools to use, water was refreshing! There is a pool bar serving drinks and snacks at reasonable prices. There were never any sun bed wars because the pool didn’t open til 10am and no matter what time we went down, we were able to get a couple of beds. The entertainment isn’t great for the adults, but my children loved the tattoos and mini disco. The guy who runs the entertainment is so friendly, big shout out to him! All in all, a lovely set of apartments and if we decide to return to playa Blanca, we would consider staying f here again.
