Bungalows Playa Limones

Never got to stay here as our flight was delayed And after trying to several ways to contact hotel/ reception and not being able to let them know we would miss the 8.30 latest check in had to go elsewhere, poor service from this establishment

We stayed in bungalow 72. As these are really only for 2 people I had to sleep on the sofa while my son and partner had the two single beds. The sofa bed is ok, but not really good for your back after a week! The location is well laid out with 3 small pools - a child pool, and 1.7m deep medium sixe pool and slightly larger 1.7m deep pool witha life guard there all day. The 'big' pool was a lightly green / yellow coulr on arrival and I wondered if it was a sea water pool, but Tuesday morning they closed it for 'treatment' and the sluge colleacting at the bottom was disgusting. Having said that it was re opened wednesday and was prestine a sparkly clean again. There is a pool bar for coffee, drinks and snacks. All good. The walkways are all lovely and well kept - there are alwats staff cleaning and keeping the grounds nice and clean. The bungalows themseves are very basic, and do look very tired - a throughback to the 80's by the looks of them. Cupboard doors loose / badly fitting etc. No AC of course. Staff were all very freindly in reception and the bar area (the restaurant was not open while we were there due to staff shortages, with one man single hadedly running the bar and pool snack area from 09:00 to gone 22:00 every day with no breaks or day off! But always had a smile. Cleaning lady was lovely and came every day, but we declined a few days to give her rest as we didn't really need daily cleaning. It has everything you need for a no frills holiday location. I would say its probably only just a 3 star location, but with a little sprucing up on the bungalow decor it could easily be a 4 star.

Just back from a lovely week at Playa Limones - since arrival the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The place is a bit dated but well maintained and clean. Landscapers maintain the property every morning, the pool was cleaned and even though it was self catering it was a pleasant surprise to find out that house keeping comes 5 days a week. Each terrace was roomy, and had two sunbeds which was a huge bonus. The room had all the things you need to enjoy self catering. Such as cutlery, a microwave, fridge, freezer, pan and plates. The location was fabulous- right across the road from the beach Playa Flamingo(a two minute walk downhill). Supermarket spar was a 5 minute walk away but there was a shop that sold all of the essentials at a good price a two minute walk away (turn left when you leave the bungalows.) All cafes and restaurants at a walking distance. We had a fab time and will 100% be back. The only reason a star is docked is the room had no air conditioning, but fans are available to rent from reception. There is big windows which allow the breeze to come in so it wasn’t the end of the world to have no air conditioning. Thank you Playa Limones :)

Like many others on here, I was a bit skeptical about our family visit — but we were pleasantly surprised! We booked two bungalows, which were located right next to each other — that was brilliant. The staff were all friendly and helpful throughout our stay. While the place is definitely a little dated, it’s kept clean and tidy. The only downside was the lack of air conditioning in the rooms. We couldn’t open the windows in the evenings due to mosquitoes invading the rooms, so I ended up buying fly spray and mosquito plugs to help keep them at bay. The pool area was relaxed and enjoyable — again, a little dated, but no issues at all with sunbed wars, which was a bonus! If you're looking for a budget-friendly holiday, this is a great place to consider. It’s close to the beach, shops, and restaurants, with friendly staff and a laid-back atmosphere. Definitely recommend!

What an amazing place, the bungalows are cosy and well equipped, the pool is fabulous too, both to mention the amazing bar man (Daniel) easily the highlight our the trip, so friendly and kind made me and my friends feel so welcome.
