Bufff.................Normalmente no me quejo de los hoteles pero este ha sido ........................... Hemos estado alojados en Media Pensión desde el 13 de abril al 21 de abril. Lo mejor del hotel La habitación, se descansaba bien. La comida en general muy mal, desayuno normal sin mas, pero las cenas han sido horribles. Pasta cocida y las salsas era agua, la plancha horrible, postres iguales todo nata. Todo realizado sin ganas y a la batalla. Había falta de cubertería, platos.... y la que había venia sucia, daba asco a veces comer. Los trabajadores del restaurante no eran muy amables la verdad, yo entiendo que estarían hasta el gorro pero...... Las instalaciones del hotel normalitas. Fuimos al Spa y una decepción y caro. Las actuaciones y la animación del hotel horribles. La chica animadora era amable. Bueno y ni que decir del Socorrista (uno de ellos) No volvere...........y no lo voy aconsejar.

Très agréable séjour. Situation avec accès direct promenade le long de la plage. Hébergement en appartement spacieux et très confortable. Alimentation variée et de qualité. Grande salle de restaurant. Belles piscines surveillées avec aquagym.

Just returned from another wonderful holiday at the Mirador Papagayo Hotel. Always so peaceful and relaxing when you need to wind down and plenty of fun and entertainment when you are in the mood. All the staff are amazing so friendly and helpful. Especial thanks to Alessia and Michelle on Reception. We particularly enjoy the hotel being right on the Promenade with gorgeous sea views and a pleasant walk to the Marina. The hotel is excellent value for money and we can't wait to go back later this year. Margaret P and Rachel

The views from this hotel if you have a sea view room are stunning and the rooms are fine. Hotel is clean and has a lovely pool area. Sadly this is where the positives end because the hot food on offer at lunch and evening meal is deplorable. I read a previous review where a reviewer noted that the food was like canteen food. This comment is actually a disservice to canteen food as I managed many a canteen in my working life and would never have allowed hot food of this hotel quality to be served to my customers. From sloppy scrambled eggs at breakfast to dry pasta , burned vegetables one day and near enough raw the next with meat grilled to order which was burnt on one side and raw on the other. Risotto made with long grain rice that was tasteless and dry.. This is not a hotel I would ever go All inclusive or half board again. I will say that the cold food offer was fine but then that’s not difficult.

Empleados un trato formidable, gerencia del hotel nefasta. Buffet muy malo, en la plancha o hay pescado o hay carne ( sin tener en cuenta la calidad de los productos frescos para la plancha) y para colmo si elijes pensión completa te puede salvar cenar, pues el almuerzo ya es pésimo. Es una pena que un hotel con la calidad de habitaciones, de zonas de ocio, y de tener unos empleados dando el 100 por 100 no cumpla las expectativas para alojarte por la mala gerencia del restaurante, e insisto no los empleados cocineros, camareros etc sino la materia prima para cocinar. Yo no repetiría y no lo recomendaría, pues opte comer fuera teniendo la pensión completa pagada. Ruego no me contesten "lo mejoraremos".

A lovely hotel, in a stunning quiet area. Close to a lovely marina with shops and restaurants. The staff are very helpful and Friendly. Breakfast excellent but the evening meals were a bit hit and miss. But overall we had a lovely holiday and would definitely recommend

I agree with the gist of all the reviews I have read. Am staying currently at the Mirador Papagayo and the rooms, pool and hotel grounds themselves are good and well looked after. The views are lovely as is the position, being a delightful 10-15 minute walk along the seafront paved promenade to the Rubicon Marina (then another 15 minutes to Cala Blanca itself). The food offer however is incredibly disappointing. This must be a budgetary decision to use the cheapest, blandest food provision. The buffet meals are tasteless, poorly cooked and lukewarm. To make matters worse the dining area resembles a department store cafeteria and I have no idea why when the rest of the hotel is unquestionably 4 star. Fortunately we only chose half board. Breakfast is fine and we swapped to have lunch so that we could go to the marina in the evenings where there are some lovely restaurants. I feel sorry for any guests that chose the 'all inclusive' option. Not only is the food disappointing, the wine choice is by 'colour' only and the beer 'on tap' looks disgusting. There are many reviews saying the same things and it seems the management are doing nothing to change things. This could be short sighted as they will lose a lot of potential customers. Such a shame as everything else about the hotel is commendable!

An excellent location for us as a couple, The pool areas,room, entertainment, staff, were all really good.We stayed half board fortunately as the food,apart from breakfast, is a letdown It would appear that a cost-cutting exercise is in place. You wait to be allocated a table even though there are plenty to spare,is this due to a shortage of staff,plates,cutlery? Plenty of Pork and fish if you like that, but the evening meals are generally uninspiring canteen-type stuff.We had evening meals out more often than we intended.
