Stayed for one week in a superior apartment. Very good location by Marina Rubicon, Lasal complex, there's a supermarket 2 mins walk away and Playa Dorada Beach is about 15/20 mins walk away along the promenade. Pool area is beautiful with lots of sunbeds parasols and palm trees it's kept very clean, there is no music which is nice if you want to relax, the bar staff give you horrible plastic cups for coffee not a cup and saucer, didn't like that. View from apartment was of the car park at the back of the marina, not the pool view we requested, asked at reception (a woman ) to be told we had booked a superior apartment and they don't face the pool they face the marina? Looked online and all the apartments looked the same inside? Kitchen was small but had everything you needed, fridge/freezer, microwave except no draining board, no cork screw, no bottle opener. The apartment got the sun in the afternoon, but there was no parasol and the chairs are plastic so it was impossible to use it as they were so hot. Bed was very comfy and slept well, very quite, although you cannot open the bedroom window as it opens out onto a landing with people going past. Aircon in bedroom and lounge was very effective. The towels are only changed on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and they are of very poor quality, thin, rough and not white. So this means for instance the towels you get on a Friday are to be used Friday night, Saturday morning, Saturday night, Sunday morning, Sunday night and Monday morning 🤮🤮, this is quite frankly disgusting and not a 4 star service. Also we were told to keep the pool towels for the duration of the holiday 😱 ( never been told this by any hotel or apartment) as they are not replaced daily due to the shortage of water on the island, now while we do appreciate that ( never been told this anywhere in Lanzarote) and we followed this disgusting rule we have read reviews to say other people had theirs changed on a daily basis so what happened to the water shortage then? All customers should be getting the same service, we paid over £2000 for this holiday so it wasn't a cheap deal. I actually washed the pool towels myself (something I shouldn't have to do whilst on holiday) as I couldn't think of anything worse than lying on a damp dirty towel over and over again. We stayed at a 3 star 3HB hotel last year in Portugal and their cleaning was by far superior to this, the pool towels were changed daily as were the room towels and they were of much better quality and thickness. The hotel needs to get new towels as the current ones are worn out and dont even meet 2 star standards, they also need to train reception staff to treat all customers the same in regards to pool towels. The tall guy on reception was very nice he gave us a glass of prosecco before we left to go home so muchas grasias to you. Oasis in the marina is a lovely bar with pool, you can pay €30 per person for brunch a drink, desert and use of the pool and sunbeds for 3
