Iberostar Selection Lanzarote Park

We recently stayed for a week as 3 adults in a sea view family room. Upon arrival the check in was very quick and good, we were offered a drink and a cold flannel while sitting down. The reception is a walk behind some shops which was a bit strange and this meant there was limited parking. The room was ready before the check in time. Our room was lovely, spacious, clean and a fantastic view. There was limited storage which seems to be an issue in Iberostar hotels in general but we made it work. There is a mini bar in the room which is all included if you are all inclusive although we didn’t really use it. We did find the room wasn’t really set up for 3, we had to request quite a few times to get a third dressing gown and slippers. There is air conditioning in the room but it definitely needs to be improved. The buffet in this hotel was very calm and spread out. There is a good choice of food and there is a mixture of show cooking and other pre prepared food. The food wasn’t always hot and there was limited fruit choice in the mornings and a limited desert section. The carvery was a bit mixed as some nights it had ribs rather than your usual carvery meat. More choice of potatoes and vegetables would also be good. The food did get repetitive after a while and wasn’t always hot. The drinks at lunch are also self service too. Service was on the whole very good, plates were cleared quickly but towards the end of our stay we found it took a while longer to get a drink at night. The food also needed to be labelled better. It was very hot in the buffet, more air conditioning is needed. The staff didn’t gloves on either and used their hands at times on the food. There was never a sunbed issue in the hotel when we were there, you could always get one without having to reserve them and they are very comfortable. More water stations in the public areas are needed and handrails on all the stairs. There also needs to be more toilets and we found they weren’t always clean. They come round with ice creams on the sunbeds and occasionally a drink but not everyday . The pools aren’t heated or if they are then not very much, although after a dip in the sea they are more bearable! The mirador pool bar seemed to open limited hours which was disappointing as this being open at night would make a lovely place to sit. You could also do snacks there in the all inclusive as these were limited in the food truck and sports bar. It might be useful to have somewhere to get self service drinks by the pool but there was never a wait at any bar. The hotel is in a good location with lovely views out to Fuerteventura. There are gates to get out of the hotel although these were never locked, and they need foot taps to wash off the sand as there are none of these and the showers by the pool got blocked up easily. Stay 12 Oct 24 Iberostar playa blanca is a hotel we have wanted to stay in for a while having stayed in quite a few hotels in the town previously It lived upto the the experience! Exceptionally cleaning and the cleaning staff work hard to keep rooms and public areas spotless ! Entertainment team also work hard and are super friendly and inclusive loved the water aerobics and the fun in the pool Restaurant and bar staff work very hard to provide fabulous hospitality and great service! We stayed star prestige half board Expectations slightly dimmed due to the following and compared to other experiences in other hotels Balcony seating - amazing sea view but the seating provided means you can’t enjoy the sea views comfortably you either have a low level rocking chair ( uncomfortable) and can’t appreciate the sea view and a sport to get out of it 😂 or what my hubby called a shower chair ! Seems an opportunity lost to to add to the experience. Food - was of good quality but star prestige had the same food as main Buffett but limited choice , hotel lacks a al a carte restaurant where you want to choose from A menu and experience a relaxing meal Instead of a buffet heard and dodgems , we ate out 3 times due to this. Adult area in star prestige was welcomed however the typical sunbed towel hoggers appeared about 7.30 am 🤦‍♀️ the hotel has a policy where this is not permitted and any towels on beds that are not occupied by 10 am will be removed and again this is welcomed by most guests as it means beds can be used , it only affects those that are selfish to save a bed and then don’t use it until 3 pm ! Yes this does happen ! The pool team will be more than happy to locate a sunbed for you if there are non available so just ask ! We would definitely be back and will definitely try Iberostar group again

Lovely resort for family with warm Welcome. People staying there for a week. We took 1 day bus tour to the volcano since did not want to drive this time even taxi from airport is pricy. My child enjoy while his stay. I expected it’s windy in Lanzarote like Fuerteventura and it was even more cold in the evening in June.

We arrived at the beautiful, clean hotel and were warmly greeted by Lena, she offered us all a seat and a cold drink (which was very welcome!) and even gave my daughter a little gift on arrival. Travelling with our 1 year old was worrying for us as she has allergies but we were reassured from the start that allergens were taken seriously and advised on how best to navigate this throughout our stay. As our first family holiday we were even more impressed when our room was upgraded so we could be in adjoining rooms with the rest of our party, the room was very spacious and more than we could’ve asked for. The hotel in general was very clean and the staff throughout worked extremely hard to ensure the guests had the best experience, everyone was friendly and courteous and made us feel relaxed. On our second day I asked one of the chefs if a dish contained milk, he asked if it was due to an allergy and when I said yes, he personally took me around every dish and pointed out which foods were safe and which to avoid, I’ve never experienced this level of service even back home and was very grateful and impressed! My only feedback to make improvements would be to label the different jugs of alternative milks rather than placing a label in front as these can be mixed up accidentally but we were advised if we wanted anything fresh from the kitchen to just ask! Our whole stay was fantastic from start to finish and we most definitely will be returning. Lovely hotel!

First of all please ignore any bad reviews, Arrived on the 4/10/24 for one week around 22.00, first impressions were good, we were given room 1311 which was amazing, next morning we went for breakfast which was excellent, tons of choices, from then on it just got better, dinner and evening meal were equally as good, this continued all week, we could not fault anything about this place, definitely lives up to its 5 star rating

We have stayed here twice in May 23 & 24 with our children between 6-9 yrs and both times we had an incredible experience from the stunning location and see side views, all the amenities and activities including kids club and evening entertainment, the entertainment team ( kids club team) we’re beyond amazing both times as were all the staff they could not have done more for us. On our first trip my son mentioned it was my husband’s birthday and when we came back to our room after lunch there was a bottle of Cava and a message wishing him a happy birthday! But what always stands out most in my mind is the food… it is exquisite! The buffet is not a standard buffet, while there is a breakfast buffet and salad bar ect each hot food station has chefs freshly making the food in front of you and you can order food to be cooked right in front of you not pre cooked for eg, steak and fish. The variety and choice left us wanting more and we were never bored. There was even sushi some nights along with the freshest prawns, mussels, crab and lobster and always a variety of chicken, lamb beef, pastas, lasagnas ect. The food was also very healthy, lots of fresh fruit, salads and veg with great vegetarian options too and a small section for kids chicken nuggets, burgers chips ect. The wine served with lunch and dinner was beautiful too. We went all inclusive both times which I would highly recommend, even for the drinks and ice cream at the pool for the kids or coffee and pastries during the day. Another thing that stood out to me was that it never seemed over crowded or over run with children. If you wanted a little quiet time away from lots of children you can go to the main pool which is much quieter and sunnier and has music playing in the background, it’s a lovely relaxing vibe. Or you can join in on the adults activities, yoga & Pilates, aqua aerobics, darts, sangria making classes you name it they have it! We can’t wait to return again this summer.
