SBH Hotel Royal Mónica

Went on family hoilday They welcomed greeted us so friendly got to reception and we put our bags down so we can have some food and then we got our all inclusive bracelets and got too our room and we went to check out the pool and was introduced by yanis and Emma they made ours more comfortable and relaxed and the rest of the team did had different events for each day like bingo live music. Done different activists for each day

Amazing staff, all the waiters and chefs were lovely. The food wasnt great for my appetite. 10 days (3 meals a day) there was only chicken 3 times. Alot of the other meat was very rare. Again personal preference. There was a toaster that didnt work, a few times the drink machines were empty and the alcohol was poor quality. The meals by the pool bar were better in my opinion. The room was very poor. No plug for bath or sink(used a plastic bag), the air conditioning was a €10 deposit which they dont tell you. The fan on the ceiling was creeky and sounded like it was about to fall. We wanted to change rooms but couldnt as the hotel was booked up. Fully booked up and the entire place was empty till the sunday (we arrived on Tuesday). It was uncomfortably quiet all the time due to lack of people. The whole place is a bit run down but the staff do an amazing job to keep it clean. Daytime entertainment was funny. The 3 people doing the entertainment tried really hard and did the best they could. Night time entertainment was horrible. Alot of entertainment that required people to go up. I just wanted to enjoy nights of drinking and relaxing but wasnt happening, spent 4 nights in the apartment. Overall for the price i was disappointed. But the staff were all so lovely and the weather was nice, so it was still enjoyable. I wouldn't go here again

Absolutely awful place. How is it called a hotel? Its a lobby with a reception desk, rooms are outside in blocks. No hotel bar, only a pool bar which is a wooden shed, then a self service room with beer & wine on tap. Food very bad, just disgusting.. And if you think you get what you pay for, well it cost almost as much for 10 days via love holidays, as a travel agent for 14 days in a 4 star in fuerteventura in February. So so dated, only thing saving this trip is the location and some nice staff, except for an older blonde lady on the front desk, rude & ignorant. And if you are on ground floor you've to drag bags down steps, and onto broken paths. Not wheelchair or disability friendly whatsoever.

Well what can I say! Yes it's slightly outdated but really nice place to stay. The food was fine,lots of choices. Yes rooms seen better days but very clean. The staff are friendly and always say Hola with a smile. There's chefs cooking food in front of the holiday makers in the dining area. The pool was absolutely freezing 🥶 It's a great place to stay,very quiet. There's alot of elderly people but I'm guessing it's the time of year. There's a lovely receptionist called Sabrina who we met at 9pm on day of arrival. They had kindly saved us dinner,she took us to the dinner area once we'd put out cases in our room. There was no rushing us,it was a lovely welcome. Didn't hang around for any entertainment so can't comment on that. The animation staff around the pool are lovely. All round I'd definitely recommend this hotel at a very reasonable price for some lovely hot weather.
