We stayed here for a week with my two children and in laws. Our jaws dropped when we walked in! The villa is absolutely gorgeous, we loved it all. Rooms are beautifully dressed and finished to the highest standard. Kitchen is well equipped and the eating area is glorious. We loved the pool - a retractable canopy means you can introduce more shade if needed. The bedrooms are quiet and comfortable, even the air con is barely noticeable! The upstairs master suite is lush and the views incredible! Location wise - well placed to drive to a wide choice of restaurants. Would suggest a car is useful if you want to eat out. Chania is lovely and well worth a days visit. We loved our stay here and hope to come back one day. Thank you Despina and her team for a wonderful holiday x

Upon arrival we met with the host Despina who gave us the most warm and friendly welcoming, she took us around our villa and gave us a very thorough tour. The Villa itself was stunning, immaculately kept and we wanted for nothing as Despina had thought of everything that a person could possibly need, home from home! Outside was equally amazing from the pool to the seating area and surroundings, being able to pick the oranges off the trees and make our own juice was a lovely way to start our day. We are a family of five, our children are 18,14 and 9 years old and we all loved the space inside and out. Despina was fantastic and helped us out with finding car hire and taxis. You will need some form of transportation if you’re planning to explore the area however you don’t actually have to go to far for some amazing local attractions, there are beaches, restaurants and shops including a Lidl that aren’t too far away, we did walk to the restaurant in the village which was about 10 mins, the food, service and settings were fantastic, we visited twice. Chania old town was a great place to visit, both daytime and evening. From start to finish it was an incredible place to spend our holiday and we hope to return!

Let's start with our host Despina: what a wonderful lady! She welcomed us with open arms (literally!) and gave us a grand tour of our villa Alivia. She explained the art work, architecture, the love her and her husband had put into building these homes and it showed! To top it off, we received a big welcome package filled with treats, honey and olive oil! Then the villa itself, a home away from home. It is even better than the pictures in real life! Comfort and class combined. There were days we didn't even leave the villa as it has all that you need. Breakfast was also carefully prepared by a chef and with delicious variety every day. Location: ideally placed within a 5 min drive from Platanias beaches and restaurants. Luxury beach clubs 15min drive away. A small supermarket at walking distance and a lidl 5min drive away. Chania less than 30min drive away. Recommend hiking Rikko Gorge only 30min drive away. STUNNING! In the villa itself you can see the sunset beautifully from the terrace upstairs. Eventhough you are so close to liveliness, the villa itself is located in a quiet street so we slept like babies. We also loves the local restaurant (8min walk away) so much, we dined there 2 out of the 4 nights! I stayed with my partner and some friends for 4 nights and we wish we stayed longer. But we will surely return. Thank you Despina for your hospitality. We look back at our stay with beautiful memories.

Conte Marino Villas is perfect for travelers seeking a serene, upscale getaway with boutique-level attention to detail, luxurious comfort and authentic local experiences. My teenage daughter and I enjoyed eight nights here and enjoyed every moment. From booking, Despina was incredibly communicative making us feel very comfortable in what would be our temporary home away from home. We will be happy to return again someday!
