Let me start by stating I read some of the other reviews, and you must keep in mind that this is a HISTORICAL building. They made every effort to keep it in it's original state. We loved it. Gorgeous. The staff are friendly, and I saw where someone said it was hard to get assistance. This is a locally owned business that also has a nice cafe. The employees optimize every second of their day to ensure all tasks are completed. There's a bell for assistance. Be patient. No there isn't an elevator because it originally didn't have one. If you don't want to walk up stairs, get a lower floor room. It is worth it. This will be where we stay every time we visit Illinois, moving forward. If you are looking for a modern place to stay, this isn't it. This an unique, beautiful building that has been renovated. We will recommend it to anyone coming to this part of the state. Side note: breakfast is basic items: yogurt, cereal, fruit bars, etc.

Family Visit
Extremely pleased with accommodations. Clean, comfortable, and homey. Historical motif with modern updates was quite refreshing. Staff were more than happy to help in any way. Will definitely recommend staying at the William Watson Hotel
