A very nice hotel as a structure, located in a way not very convenient for the main attractions. They could include fins in snorkeling and give everything for more than 1 hour a day: these are very strange limitations for a structure of this level. It is probably still the best resort on the island of Tahiti

InterContinental Tahiti Resort & Spa
Because I had to wait for another flight to my destination the next day, I just stayed one night on the way.
I didn’t experience it carefully....but I did appreciate the beautiful landscape and the service of the staff.

This hotel is beyond overpriced. I thought it was going to be a luxory hotel stay with 5* service but it wasnt.
The room is as bog standard is it comes. The ocean view was really a partial view. The room smelt bad, like damp and the shower was the most complicated thing to work and the shower head could never be worked, only the rain shower option was doable.
Whats worse is the room we were given was above the end of the restaurant. The restaurant workers would smoke below our balcony and that would waft up to our balcony.
Moreover, it was a birthday stay and not once did the hotel do anything to recognize the birthday. Other hotels I have stayed in, in the past, would always provide complimentary cake or dessert or treats for a birthday. This hotel did absoultely nothing, despitw being informed.
I would love to know how they get away with charging 5* prices without the 5* service.
Highly dissappointing. The corridoors also are not kept up to standard and finding random holes in the ground was common.

The hotel is really old, probably from the 1990s; especially the bathroom, the toilet breaks down as soon as you press it.
The hotel is not big and there is not much to do. When I went there, there were no projects on the shore because of the wind. I booked a tour around the island, but many places were closed due to strong winds. The strange thing is that it is understandable that outdoor places are closed, but why are museums also closed?
Hotel breakfast and dinner were average
If you want to stay on the main island, it is not as good as Hilton in terms of cost performance.

We stayed at the Intercontinental Tahiti at three separate times during the month of August. The staff at the front desk and concierge is outstanding. I use a CPAP machine for sleeping and they easily coordinated for me to have distilled water in my room at three separate times. They have a newly refurbished, very clean, European type room that we absolutely loved. Well designed and organized. The food and service staff at the main breakfast restaurant also we very helpful and served a great buffet breakfast that was very clean and high end. The second time (of three) that we stayed, we were booked into an older room that had not been refurbished. I have allergies and the overhead bed canopy material was very dusty and had not been washed or replaced in a long time. The side tables offered no power plugs and were tine and affixed to the wall. Not a good experience for us as I was popping Claritin after that to breathe clearly. We then requested that we stay back in the refurbished type (newer) room upon return our third time. The staff accommodated us and it was again a fantastic experience. We really appreciate that the team was receptive to our request and were able to execute that for us. I would highly recommend the hotel refurbish more rooms with the European clean style and I’m sure you will have many guests for years to come. This is clearly a well managed hotel. My only regret is that I can’t seem to obtain the general manager’s email address to thank him personally.

Hotel énorme et au top, activité au choix, tennis, jetski, padel, piscine, salle de sport etc.... chambre tres grande et tres confortable et aussi équipé au top, déjeuner américaine super complet, ne manque rien, mais alors il manque un peu de simplicité pour le repas du soir, des plats un peu trop concocté sans trop d'harmonie de saveur, en cuisine il faut savoir mélanger les ingrédients et non pas seulement faire une belle phrase dans les menus, avant de mettre des plats à votre carte prenez le temps de les goûter. Hors mis cela toujours un plaisir

1ère étape de notre périple polynésien, cet hôtel est superbe. Le personnel au petit soin, la nourriture est délicieuse et le petit déjeuner gargantuesque. Actuellement en travaux pour la rénovation de leur piscine principale, la fin des travaux est prévue fin septembre.
