Bear Creek Motel and Cabins

This is such a pretty location and has so much potential but the people who run it were not honest. The cabin was nice, overall. Cabin C felt like you were in a tree house and I liked the layout. I’d say definitely do not stay here with toddlers or young kids due to the way the stairs are, as they could hurt themselves (there’s a permanent table at the top of stairs that they could topple off and gaps between stairs.) The atmosphere is scenic and peaceful. I wouldn’t stay there again not because of the cabin but because of the people running it. They do not honor what they tell you over the phone even when it’s in their notes. I was told one price over the phone (the lady was going to wave the extra charge for my 13 year old), and then charged another when we got there, and the lady was rude about it and did absolutely nothing to try to help. She made it clear that she didn’t care at all. So not only did they not keep their word about the pricing but also it just left me thinking they care about money above all else. I am not sure how they would handle other concerns given this was the only one we had and it was handled badly. It was very surprising because they’d been so nice over the phone.

Beautiful area, charming little cabins, friendly staff, pet friendly, however, maintenance seemed unresponsive and they might want to keep extra light bulbs in storage, and make sure the plugs they have in the bathtubs and sinks actually work.

Quiet setting for us to sit on deck & listen to birds & enjoy wildlife, yet close to silver city coffee shops & hiking.

What a treat! Very helpful staff with a late check due to flight deays. Super cool cabin. The porch off the bedroom is built into a tree so it was like a tree house and the birds were all around. Fantastic spot. Total gem. The location in Gila National Forest was perfect!! Cliff dwellings, Grapevine hikes are in the area. Then off to Catwalk. I had everything I needed. Comfortable and plenty of space. I'd stay here again 100%.

Gorgeous location with a homely feel. The staff were very welcoming and happy to help with things to see and do. Lovely gift shop on site as well. Would have loved to stay here longer.

We had a wonderful weekend there. The staff we dealt with all weekend was great. Unfortunately the lady at check out on Monday was rather rude and left a bitter end to an otherwise great trip.
