A truly stunning place with a taylor made experience that far exceeded any expectations. Its hard to imagine that set only a few miles from Perth city is the picturesque countryside town of Pinjarra, With its green meadows, gental rolling hills, all season slow moving rivers and lakes and the miles and miles of breathtaking jarrah wood forests. It truely felt alittle like being back at home in Wales UK at times. This area offers endless natural beauty to explore both on site at Lazy River or in the wider area and reserves all within a short drive. This location offers far more than a stunning location. The hosts Liz & Steve have created a truely magical slice of luxury for their guests located right on the bend of a beautiful river. The large rooms are super comfy, very clean and well kept and feature a king-size bed, sofa and TV area, large bathroom with both a shower and a very large spa bath for two. Your room opens up onto a beautiful wooden private balcony that overlooks the fields and hills behind. Your room is kitted out with a fridge and mini cooker and your breakfast is always layed out inside your fridge so you can awake at your leisure and eat breakfast in your PJs whenever you want on your own balcony (so no unwanted early starts or outside interactions until you've had your morning coffee and woke up). The room is equipped with a private drive way, full disability access throughout (from ramp walkway to safety handles in bathroom) all fitted functionally and discreetly and full duel action air-conditioning that works perfectly to keep you cool or warm. Onside these lovely hosts provide you with free access to a tennis court, croquet set and river kayak's (which you can take down to their river jetty to paddle off at explore). But, the absolute highlight of this whole experience is the food. Simply wow. Steve is a highly trained chef that personally makes you everything you eat, from the delicious little welcome platter on arrival, to the scrumptious home made breakfast quiche and pouched pears and the 3 course evening meal. Steve called us up a few days before our arrival to talk through our requests for our personally designed evening menu (which felt like such a wonderful touch of luxury). I personally have very high food standards and love to eat out in the best of restaurants, and Steve not only delivered but far exceeded any expectations. Any one of his courses would fit perfectly into any 5* French restaurant. Simply put, if Lazy River also had an onside restaurant i would happily travel there several times a year just for a meal. Liz and Steve, the hosts of this wonderful luxury riverside retreat offer a one of a kind, truly relaxing and stunning getaway. You could not ask for more. Whether your intentions are to hike around and explore or simply put your feet up and relax to candle lit bubble baths, this place has it all. So welcoming, so friendly, so peaceful so worth it. If I could give this place 6 Stars I would. H
