Si vous souhaitiez être logez dans un palace 4 étoiles il y a de cela deux siècles vous seriez ravis. De nos jours (2025) en étant d’une sympathie hors norme je laisserai une étoile mais je suis de nature généreuse. Niveau gastronomie légèrement en dessous d une cantine scolaire. Un conseil passez votre chemin et tentez votre chance ailleurs.

Parou no tempo. Massagistas pareciam estar atrasadas para o expresso do Oriente. Senti-me um frango a ser virado no espeto e no final desapareceram (parecia que tinham medo do feedback). Piscinas com 50% jatos avariados. Tudo a cair aos bocados. Quarto do tempo de Afonso Henriques. Vidro da banheira com silicone “dependurados”. Colchão sem estrutura base que acomodasse peso do corpo. Almofadas que pareciam ter andado na guerra e já nem se aguentavam na força da gravidade. Uma manta para 2 pessoas que já tinham sido usada por uma infantaria inteira em plena campanha de guerra. Luzes do corredor que piscam, parece Natal. Pior comida de toda a minha vida. Sem alma. Sem brio (tal como o atendimento). Pato confirmado nem tostado estava, aliás, estaria cozinhado? Era rosa néon, pode ser tendência… batatas secas… entradas secas, folhado de cena com acompanhamento de azeitonas. Continuo à espera que alguém diga: Corta! Isto era para os apanhados.

I booked two night’s and prepaid
This place is a complete joke referring to the „4 Stars category“
Physical:
We received a room with bathroom in unacceptable condition.
Any joint/connection done with silicon was full of mold!
We complained and got a different room.
This room was generally in same size and condition and “lucky” the bathroom was only 90% as bad like the room before.
Managing:
Portugal is well known for their “Galao”, which is more or less similar to Italian “Latte Machiato”
As we have seen a professional espresso coffee machine, my wife an me got the cheekynes to ask for such Galao.
The waitress explained that on the breakfast buffet is the cattle with instant coffee and the milk is beside.
“They do not serve any extras”
Ok, we got the information , took our coffees and went to our tables.
2 min later different girl from staff comes, started the espresso machine, prepare here self a “Galao”
I asked kindly whether it’s possible to get one as well.
The girl said that I have to pay extra.
We left this “Installation ” immediately
To all who will read this:
Physically this place is over its time.

Palace hotel Porto
A very old and tired hotel. Room had not been aired for a long time so smelled damp and musty - I had to open the window as soon as I entered the room. Old furniture, old and dilapidated bathroom / shower. Span and gym not available. Swimming pool available but costs €18 for a swim! I dont expect to pay as a guest of the hotel. Breakfast OK - coffee cold.

Excelente estadia, gostamos de tudo, spa, quartos, limpeza, jogos, pequeno almoço segurança e funcionários (muito bem preparados). Hotel bem localizado e com bons acessos. Região simpática e com boa gastronomia. Seguramente que iremos repetir.

Para um hotel 4 estrelas, não pode ter esse destaque apenas do espaço ser acolhedor e ter um serviço termal excelente . Serviço de jantar muito desagradável e sem qualidade de "chef", pequeno almoço sem grande variedades e quantidades(praticamente nem parece que estão disponíveis para colocar mais proporções quando estão a finalizar nos pratos). Atendimento de recepção aquém das minhas expetativas (chegamos ao local passava um pouco mais das 17.30h e informaram que tinha massagens para as 18h(não tiveram apreço de ligar a dar essa informação para tal) eu como nao pretendia fazer a massagem, dei a oportunidade a minha esposa de fazer a minha. Foi marcada para o dia seguinte e acabou por não se fazer, pk não tinham disponibilidade para a hora marcada e propuseram marcar a tarde(quando a nossa estadia estava no final deste dia(enfim!!!) E quanto menos, poderiam ter mais em consideração aos hospedes e arrranjar uma outra solução do problema em causa (ou reembolso ou dariam oportunidade de um acesso a piscina ate ao final da estadia)....a recepcionista foi muito antipática (nem perguntou se ficaram satisfeitos e ou arranjar uma solução pelo sucedido....nada!!!!).
