In 1942, Mr. De-Tsai Chang founded the De-Hsing Rice Mill.
Many of the Chang family children grew up running and playing in this vast rice yard, before eventually branching out and building lives of their own.
Now, the third generation of the Chang family has chosen to return home and lovingly establish DE hostel.
It's not only a tribute to the legacy their grandfather built with his own hands, but also a heartfelt offering to travelers and those from Chutian who’ve been away.
