Comfort Inn Pinehurst - Southern Pines

We have stayed at this hotel several times in the past with no issues. well that was not the case this time. We visit Pinehurst NC multiple times a year for doctor’s appointments since we live 1 1/2 to an hour and 45 minutes away, we usually go there the night before and spend the night at the Comfort Inn. My complaints are:  When we drove up there were several people standing in front of the entrance smoking, even though it clearly states “This is a 100% smoke free premises” As we entered our room we noticed the paint peeling off the walls and ceiling. The shower water pressure left a lot to be desired. A rubber band fell out of a “clean” towel when it was unfolded. The noise of people hanging out in the hallway talking very loudly after 10:30pm. Free breakfast- well it was not what we were expecting. They had sausage patties, some round egg things, a few types of yogurt, coffee, it was NOT good and it was not hot! But the attendant was nice. And lastly, as we were standing at the front counter, the lady at the desk was on the phone, she acknowledged me and smiled, this complaint is not about that, as we were standing there, there was another female employee, whom we could not see but we could hear her, she was talking so loud and angry to whomever she was taking to, she was expressing her disbelief and explaining that the person she was talking about was so stupid and she couldn’t understand plain English and didn’t understand why she couldn’t understand/follow simple instructions. This was very unprofessional!! We will not be staying here again nor will we recommend anyone else stay there either.

Comfortable, friendly, convenient and great breakfasts.

Thought the room was really dirty. I could tell the sheets weren’t clean. So gross! Also the front desk was so rude at check in. I am disabled and told him i need to sit down. His response was, “I never said you cant sit down”! I was so pissed! Checked in July 5th before 5pm incase management wants to see who was working the front desk.

You do not get what you pay for This was a very poor experience for what we paid. We did not have any blankets for the sofa bed when we arrived. The "hot" breakfast was ice cold. The second day I had my hands full of bags and my toddler in tow. I could not get in bc my key stopped working! They told me I could come around to the front lobby. I told them i couldnt bc wlaking through the parking lot was not safe for my toddler. They did not come let me in. Luckily my husband was in the room so he came to let me in. He then informed me that all of our keys has to be redone bc none of them worked when we got back from our event. If you pay for two days, your keys should work for 2 days. Its honestly not worth what you pay at all.

I would stay there again.

Room wasn’t cleaned or restocked daily. Federal order to fly US flag at half-mast never happened in 3 days even after I reported it to clerk
