5/5 Tshukudu Bush Lodge provided an experience that went beyond a typical safari stay. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the breathtaking views that stretched out before us. Every aspect of the lodge seemed designed to connect us with the natural beauty of the bushveld. The extra-long game drives were a highlight, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the wilderness and witness the incredible diversity of wildlife. Even the dining experience reflected the lodge's commitment to showcasing the essence of the bushveld. The dishes were thoughtfully crafted, incorporating local flavors and ingredients, creating a true culinary connection to nature. Diner is served family style with great conversation shared with those from around the world. Andre, Jafari and Sammy thank you for an amazing experience.

Amazing lifetime experience, highly recommended. The lodges are located in a stunning area and very comfortable. You have everything you need . The staff are so attentive and helpful. The food was amazing like private fine dining with personal chefs and premium wines and spirits. Jsafari was an amazing guide and worked hard to show us the big 5 and more, such a great person. Andre was on hand to assist also. The bush bbq is to be experienced and go on every game drive is a must no matter how tired you may feel always different. The steps are uneven but just take your time and you get strong legs and fitter , just be sensible and you are fine. It's worth it! Was an amazing experience and want to return.

I have just returned from the most amazing stay at Tshukudu with my family. I simply do not know where to start to describe this experience. The lodge is perfect , from the rooms to the food, the staff and the drives. On arrival we were greeted by JR who was to be our field guide for the 5 days . He took us to our room (suite with plunge pool) and explained everything. We were provided with a ruck sack containing binoculars and a tablet that gave us lots of information about the wildlife in the park. The food and drink provided during our stay was plentiful and I was never hungry. All of the food was amazing , and the 5 course evening meals were as good, if not better, than Michelin star quality. It was great to be able to try different food such as Impala and Kudu (but there is always another option if you don’t fancy this). During our stay we went on 10 drives and were never disappointed. Each one was different and we saw such a variety of wildlife and birds, including spotting the big 5 within our first 24 hours. There was so much to take in and enjoy and this was made possible by JR who was such an amazing guide who shared with us so much interesting information. I want to thank all of the staff who looked after us during our stay and made it very special. Tshukudu is a little piece of heaven where beautiful memories are made. I miss it already and definitely want to return

Where to start, I’m struggling. This place is out of this world. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left we were looked after, fed, watered (well, gin and tonic!!) and made to feel like family. Our guide (JR) was there to greet us and orientate us, the team were always there to make sure we were sated. The room was fantastic and had a great view over the watering hole and approach. (We were greeted there with elephants, hippo, giraffe, impala, warthog, wildebeest, oh, and lion!! The game drives with JR were informative, educational, interesting, fun and frankly, a dream for a nature lover, like me. If you want an “action holiday” just go to Sun City and leave the nature to people that will appreciate it, here. Yes there are stairs, don’t moan, just think about keeping yourself fitter, they’re no big deal. Back to the drives, dress appropriately, if you’re in doubt about what I mean, use your intelligence and check what the weather is doing when you visit. 4 layers might be appropriate in the morning, but shorts and T-shirt in the afternoon. In between drives you get some valuable downtime, the food will see you through, there’s plenty and it’s great. The evening meals are amazing and better than most restaurants you’ll go to! All meals are introduced and more than satisfying. Drink measures are very generous. Enjoy the bush dinner, you may even be lucky enough to have some wildlife visit at the same time! We completed the big 5 in 24 hours. But there’s so much more to this place than the big 5, it’s just so beautiful and engaging. I feel like something of Tshukudu lodge will always stay with me and I’m so happy about that. If I ever get the chance, I will come back. Thank you JR and ALL of the team there, you are all fantastic and I miss you all(and I was only there 5 nights!!)

My wife, daughter and I recently visited and we were not sure what to expect from Tshukudu Lodge and the Pilanesberg Reserve. Well, we were blown away! The facilities - rooms, food and drinks - and staff at Tshukudu were phenomenal. The game drives were excellent and our guide, Jafari, was brilliant - very knowledgeable and great at spotting game. We saw the Big Five plus cheetah, giraffe, kudu etc. I highly recommend Tshukudu Bush Lodge for an outstanding safari experience!

We stayed at Tshukudu for 7 nights in August, me my wife and 13 y.o. son in one of the suites with a plunge pool on the balcony. We have done a number of safari's in Kenya and each in it's own way were good, but Tshukudu was on another level and beyond. I can honestly say that this was by far and away the best holiday that we have had. The lodges are set on a hill inside the park which is accessed along a private road, the effect of this is like you are in a private park inside the park The rooms overlook a waterhole that was visited by Elephant, Rhino's, Giraffe, Hippo's...The accommodation tastefully fits into the surrounding area. Yes there are a lot of steps to navigate and a reasonable level of fitness is required to stay here. All the staff were just incredible, we have not experienced such a high level of attentiveness anywhere. The food was just exceptional in quality and quantity, both chefs Jonny and Evis took great pride in their work. Jafari was our driver for our game drives and it was obvious that he was passionate about his job, extremely knowledgeable and compassionate about the animals in the park and a very nice guy. We saw all the big five after a couple of days. Pilanesberg Park was visually stunning. On our last evening the staff had arranged a Boma Bush diner which was again an incredible experience dining under the Milky Way! I have run out of superlatives for this holiday which both my wife and I say will be hard to beat. One of the best views you will get from any game lodge in SA; beyond peaceful. Service excellent; thanks Jafari for some brilliant guiding - and the rest of the team for the care and attention (Ernest, Tammy, Tshepo, Simon, Johnny et al). Food 10 out of 10. Saw over 50 elephant, 30+ Rhino, leopard, hippos, two prides of Lion, countless Giraffe - Pilanesberg at its best

Wow what can I say , we have just returned from a 5 night stay at the lodge , it excelled all expectations , Andre and the entire team made our stay so memorable , our guide Simon seemed to know exactly where to be to catch unforgettable views of all the animals , a big shout out to chefs Jonny and Elvis for going out of there way to accommodate my fussing eating habits , and the other members of staff for their attention to detail , nothing was too much trouble for them,I can’t praise the lodge enough and have already booked a return trip next year , honestly the experience of a lifetime .

The excellent reviews on here are justified. It was an amazing 7 night stay, the whole experience from lodge, service, food to Safari drives were outstanding. Jafari our guide was brilliant, respectful to the animals and knowledgeable. We were lucky to see the big 5 and much more. I would highly recommend.
