Customer service was top notch. They came at every request we made. All facilities were working as they should no issues. Also we could've went anywhere close by and got food which was great. Only issue I had was that they needed a bigger TV other than that my stay was great.

Fantastic hotel near bars and restaurants. Great rooms with lovely beds and air conditioning. Sea View Appartments have great balcony's, with chairs, table and wooden loungers. Kitchen has all the pots, pans, plates, glasses etc. you need on vacation. We always hire a car to get around the island but taxis are available nearby and you are in walking distance of Pigeon Point beach, great food and Nelson's Dockyard.

We had a great stay at the hotel, definitely recommend the sea view rooms at the top of the resort. The nearby Pigeon Point Beach is a must visit and only a short walk away. We received outstanding service from Jason, Alfonzo and Kerry-ann. We will back.

I had a great 7-night stay in this hotel and have returned home feeling happy. The hotel boasts amazing views of the English Harbour and a selection of restaurants a stone's throw away. The hotel does not offer food, so you will find something to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A number of the restaurants were closed due to the off-season period, but this did not matter as there were still plenty to choose from. My favourite breakfast/ lunch food is clean food & jooce, such as juice and Bar B’s. For dinner, I enjoyed Pillars at Admiral’s Inn ( adjacent to Nelson’s Dockyard) and Los Cabrones on the corner of Dockyard Drive. The room was clean, the AC worked efficiently, and the bed was comfortable. My only battle was the mosquitoes in the room. The staff kindly sprayed my room, but they still would not leave me alone. I also bought mosquito body spray from the UK, but I recommend purchasing body spray in Antigua, if you are prone to bites, as you might have a better chance of it working more efficiently. The closest beaches were Pigeon Point and Galleon Beach. The latter is my favourite as it is so tranquil and secluded, but both are lovely for different reasons. Pigeon Point is relatively walkable in 10 minutes, but Galleon is 8 minutes by car or taxi. I chose to hire a car, so both were easy to access, along with other places of interest nearby, such as Shirley Heights and Nelson’s Dockyard. A stroll around Saint John’s is recommended for the markets, shops and restaurants. It is around a 50-minute to 1-hour drive each way from English Harbour. I enjoyed the cultural experience of St. John's. The locals were friendly and more than helpful in offering directions without hesitation. Shirley Heights is a good evening out for only $10 admission with additional costs for food and drink. I visited on Thursday, but it’s also open on Sunday. I enjoyed the spectacular views and the reggae band! As other guests have mentioned, you can hear music from the nearby bars and restaurants, but it didn’t bother me, as I found it entertaining. If you prefer a quiet night, you might want to reconsider. Overall, the hotel has a minimalist aesthetic reminiscent of other hotels across the Caribbean and is the perfect retreat to experience Antigua at its best.

Just returned from a week at this lovely hotel. Booked with BA. Hotel is very central with bars and restaurant within walking distance. Although was out of season there were still plenty of restaurants open. Room cleaned daily with clean towels. Reception staff very helpful. About 15 min slow walk to Pigeon Point beach which was quite hilly. Would definitely stay again as such a good price.

A group of us checked in on 28 May 2025 for a week. As soon as we walked into rooms we could smell damp. 3 out of the 4 rooms has mouldy headboards. One couple got moved to a new room but I have been sleeping in the room with a mouldy headboard. I will be letting BA know. Hotel nice otherwise but needs updating but not sure if they are going for rustic look. Open courtyard in the middle of rooms, nice look. Plenty of bars and restuarants around. I would give it 3 stars but downgrade to 2.5 stars due to mould.

We have returned feeling completely restored after our stay at AYC marina resort. Brilliant welcome from all the reception staff, I was concerned by the incline of the resort but we were promised accessible rooms on the first floor overlooking the marina and room 3 was exactly that. This is not five star luxury but it is a relaxed laid back atmosphere which makes holidaying here a great experience. The room was spacious, good air conditioning, a large fridge and a decent sized balcony, my gripe would be our room had very little cupboard space and the pillows were too hard for our taste. Yes, the rooms are not the most modern but the room was cleaned to a high standard every day, The beach towels were not rationed unlike some resorts which insist on restricting the number each day. We found it fascinating to watch the yachts arriving and returning each day from our balcony the vista was always changing . Yes, it can be a little noisy at weekends but people are enjoying themselves and having fun, it’s not intimidating and I suggest if you can’t sleep go and join the party! I promise you will enjoy the live music. Go early to Shirley heights to ensure the walk uphill isn’t too tedious. Good food is readily available in the marina complex with several restaurants and bars operating and several more in the vicinity, within walking distance. Our favourite was Indian Summer overlooking the water, the staff were superb! We hired a car for the duration and was recommended to use Bigs rentals by the hotel, we were collected effortlessly from the airport and ferried back to the airport on our return. Having our own transport gave us the freedom to revisit some of our favourite beaches and discover ones we hadn’t been to before , note a word of caution the roads are dreadfully potholed therefore I would recommend hiring a 4x4. Experience the vibe and let the Antiguan warmth envelop you You could choose a five star all inclusive resort and sit around a pool for two weeks or you can embrace Antigua, it’s beaches, it’s people and we believe AYC marina showcases Antigua at its best..
