Holiday Inn Express & Suites Trincity Trinidad Airport

Hotel room was clean with basic toiletries needed. Breakfast is local breakfast self serve and buffet. Not many options for gluten free or low carb. Location is close to airport and shuttle bus takes you to and from the airport at no cost. Overall not bad.

The stay was very comfortable and very smooth, the front desk experience was so simple. The beds were super comfortable and the temperature was just right the bathrooms were also clean and the hotel shuttle service was 10/10. Definitely recommend.

We stayed here for a layover which was very convenient because then hotel is located near to the airport. The room was very clean and spacious and the stay was friendly. My only issue was that there was no in house restaurant so we had to purchase food from a nearby restaurant which didn't work out for us because it was too late for delivery. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at this hotel.

Perfect stopover close to airport when we travelled from Tobago enroute to Jamaica Staff exceptionally helpful with transfers from and to airport. Regular shuttle to restaurants for supper. Room was spacious and clean. Manager attentive and staff very accommodating. Good value!

Some reviews of this hotel is not always glowing, but in my humble opinion for travellers who use this hotel as it's intended to be, it serves its purpose well. First of all, it's an airport hotel so it's designed mostly for people who are passing by and will have 1-night stays. The hotel has a round-the-clock shuttle bus on request which works well. Once I landed in Port of Spain airport I called and shortly after the shuttle bus arrived. Upon leaving the hotel the next morning, the driver was sitting near reception, I asked for a ride and off we went. So in that regard, the hotel provides a service, and provides it well. The room was not fantastic but for one night I am not sure I would heavily criticize. The bathroom in particular was quite nice and clearly renovated. In addition, when rating hotels I compare with the local competition. If I was unhappy with this hotel, where else would I stay when I want to stay close to the airport? There are not many other choices. Last but not least, this is a Holiday Inn Express so it should judged relative to the brand. It's not an InterContinental. For HIX I thought this was entirely fine. Bottom line, on my next layover in Trinidad I would not hesitate to stay here again.

From beginning to end this hotel and staff was great service. The shuttle service to and from airport and also to and from the mall was indeed great. Walked by popeyes for lunch and went Fridays for dinner. Would go again Breakfast lady was sweet
