I enjoyed the fish soup! You have a great product and the potential to make it even better is huge. The lamb shack looked and tasted great, ensure the mushroom soup is creamy as expected. Attention to detail is critical in service delivery. Your location is a big plus.

The hotel is ok, definitely not a 5 star. Food was not included with my stay, I choose to go out to the village / town and try different dishes. Down side to this hotel, they have only 1 lady for cleaning the entire hotel. This lady works everyday and long hours working there all alone with no assistance. Hotel does not care about how the work is done as long as it's done...I felt sorry for her, hope everyone leaves a tip each time they check out, she obviously deserves it.

My friends and I stayed at the Regent Star after missing our outgoing flight. It is a very busy carnival season and thankfully they were able to accommodate us on late notice. We had dinner at the restaurant, the staff were friendly and attentive and the food was flavourful and affordable. I was also very appreciative that they were open late. You can tell the hotel was decorated with passion and many modern elements. It is located only a couple minutes outside the airport. A perfect spot for in transit and early morning flights Thank you to the staff. We look forward to our next visit!

This hotel is in the perfect location, in walking distance from the airport. The staff was very helpful and friendly and their restuarant was amazing with various options to choose from. I was there on a business trip and would definitely stay on my next visit.

Not impressed with this hotel. The staff is a crew of one. The lady that was cleaning was all alone to clean all the hotel rooms by herself! She looked very tired and overworked and was rushing around a lot to get her job done. I stayed here for a week and have not seen any other person cleaning besides this lady. I spoke to the lobby that confirm she is alone. How can a huge hotel like this employ one person to clean all rooms? Where is the labor board for things like this? Does this lady get any time off or vacation??? It's in-human to overworked an individual like this? Regarding the cleanliness of the rooms, since she's on her own, she's trying to keep it at the standard it should be, but, small hiccups here and there, she's not to blame, the HOTEL IS!... This hotel wants cheap labor!!...Never have I gone to any hotel and seen a staff of one!...I hope someone sees this review and report what sort of in-human labor they are doing and insist that there are more than one room cleaners. No-one should work 7 days a week, no wonder she looked so tired and stress!! To the lady that works here, GET OUT, NO ONE NEEDS TO BE OVERWORKED LIKE THIS!!! This hotel is taking advantage of this person, this is truly a Labor board situation, hope my review helps you in some way!!!!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a couple of nights because of a delayed flight to Miami.. Instead of going home we decided to stay here to pass the time. All I can say is this was a great decision. Wow! The location is soooo convenient!! The room itself was very comfortable and cozy, perfect for a newly associated couple. We had some issues AC wise but they were quickly tended to the well rounded staff that the hotel was equipped with. We will be staying here very soon in the near future (as soon as Covid goes away LOL)

It's amazing what people will do the take advantage of an unfortunate situation such as a pandemic. From the beginning, my first red flag was the way the person spoke to me (or rather, spoke over me ) on the phone while taking my details for my stay for the state-mandated quarantine since I'm not vaccinated. Mind you, I had no issues with being quarantined and welcomed the 14days as a time to relax. The second red flag was when I was having a friendly conversation with the immigration officer upon my arrival to Trinidad. He asked how much I paid for the stat and was most disgusted by the cost. He shook his head and said " They are too greedy. Why the high price? Nobody stays there. " I soon found out why. I was taken to the hotel via taxi ( a 1-minute drive). A security guard led me to the back of the building through a dark corridor. There was caution tape blocking the rest of the corridor. The reception was cold. I thought to myself, maybe he was tired. Just as the other reviews said, the room was poorly lit and the bed was probably the most comfortable furniture to sit on. The rules: Food items/care packages can only be dropped off between 10 am and 1 pm. A three-hour window, which made it difficult most times for family members to drop off care packages. But the window made it easier for them to sell food from their restaurant ( which I assume was the intention) I couldn't leave the room at all ( other hotels allowed you some fresh air.) If you tested negative after 7days you were allowed 20 minutes walk outside. -_- for the next 7 days. When it came to testing, you received your results via a phone call from the staff. I had to actually request my own result from the person who works at the hotel who whatsapped me my result. Totally unprofessional and a blatant breach of my confidentiality by the lab who had all my contact info including my email. I won't bother to elaborate on the food. There was one time when I asked for another slice (one slice!) of bread to add to the 2 slices I was served for breakfast to receive a response from the kitchen that I would probably need to pay extra for that and they would need to take note of the extra slice. They were just following the rules I'm sure but shame on the hotel for being so cheap! Also, on my last day, there was an attempt to coerce me to purchase food from the kitchen before the accounts dept closes so that it would be added to my bill. After about a month I called the hotel back hoping to get an invoice for the PCR test that I could take to my insurance agency to get a refund. We are now in December and the person never got back to me. I'm generally not a fussy person but this is far from what I expected from a hotel even if it's a quarantine stay. The price is the same as other hotels and I've heard that the treatment at the other hotels was far better. PROS : Let me just mention that the CLEANING LADIES WERE VERY NICE. They were the only ones who made me feel human lol.

A friend recommended me to stay here for a business trip to Trinidad. This place is literally walking distance from the hotel. Price was decent and they offered continental and a few Caribbean dishes which I enjoyed. Got a big mall close by also. Will come back

stayed here just before the lockdown in Trinidad due to the Covid 19 pandemic. it was a wonderful experience, however, the staff can use an attitude change. despite that downfall the food was exceptional, the location is extremely convenient as it is close to the airport. ideal selection if you are looking for somewhere to stay during a layover or delayed flight. the rooms can use some upgrading but overall i do not regret staying here.
