Right on the river........comfy room with top notch shampoo etc, we always travel light and therefore we appreciate good quality, thoughtful extras in the bathroom. There's a Nespresso machine if that's your thing, but it's a juggle to make a cup of tea, however perseverance pays off. Our room was directly in front of the pool, there are only 8 rooms, I think three are at ground level which was the best spot. Dinner and breakfast were superb, the restaurant is in the Michelin Guide book; you'll love it! Fabulous help from the front office, a lady with gorgeous hair (how is it possible in that humidity?) and excellent English looked after all our needs.

L’hôtel est bien, le personnel sympathique et le petit déjeuner très correct. La piscine est, comme souvent, très petite mais bien entretenue. Quant à l’emplacement, c’est un peu éloigné des centres d’intérêt de la ville, ce qui peut amener à marcher dans les rues qui sont malheureusement très mal entretenues dans l’ensemble d’Ayutthaya… Cet hôtel est néanmoins un très bon choix.

This is a very different and unique hotel ,right on the river. There are great views of the river and a wide array of boat traffic to observe. The rooms are smaller than we expected. The bathrooms were good, but some maintenance and upkeep had been deferred. The bed was located in a corner, so the person next to the wall either slithered out the bottom or crawled over their partner, if they had to use the washroom during the night. Not a good situation for us older people. The full service restaurant was excellent with great food, a wide selection on the menu and full service. The hotel is not within walking distance of most shopping and / or restaurants, but only a short boat ride away. Would need to hire a water taxi to get to these other locations. As older people, this is a very good hotel, but we would not say a great hotel. Would recommend.

We really enjoyed our lunch here. We were taken to this restaurant by our tour guide on a private tour to Ayutthaya from Bangkok and loved the food. The fishcakes were exceptional, as was the tamarind prawns. We also had crab curry and a vegetable dish. We wanted to try the taro dumplings but they were sold out. We were too full for dessert.

The hotel is tastefully decorated and the entire structure has a splendid design. The rooms are spacious but strangely one side of the bed does not have space to pass (you have to enter from the back) and on the other side there is no bedside table or even sockets, even if there would be space to put them. Unfortunately the air conditioning was in a terrible position, so it was directly on the bed and was quite annoying. We tried to turn it off but it was too hot. It has a beautiful view of the river that surrounds the center of Ayutthaya, but the position means that you can hear the traffic on the canal a lot, as very noisy boats pass by even during the night. These can be heard from the room also because the French window that looks towards the river does not close properly. The restaurant is really excellent, in particular one of their specialties is grilled prawns. Breakfast is also very good, which is served both in the room and in the restaurant and they let you choose a specific dish the day before, so since it is not a buffet the quality is really high.

We stayed here two nights. It is the quirkiest reception I have ever seen as it was a room with you outside under an umbrella checking in. The whole place is brick themed, I suppose to reflect the old city ruins which is why people come here. They have about 8/10 rooms which are comfortable enough but a little cramped. A small swimming/plunge pool which has no privacy from the restaurant. This place is really all about the restaurant which served very good Thai food with excellent ingredients. This is carried over into the breakfast which you needed to order the night before. Again quality of ingredients was evident with some of the best croissants I have had outside France and actual sourdough bread. Great location by the river. Not the cheapest hotel on our trip but the food made it worthwhile. Parking is restricted but the attendants reserved places for guests which was great.

Among the many seafood restaurants along the Chao Phraya River, this restaurant is ranked as high-end. It specializes in shrimp-based dishes. However, compared to the general price system for food in Thailand, it is quite expensive. However, the food is very carefully prepared and delicate, and delicious. Übersichtliche Auswahl an Thai Gerichten und europäischer Küche. Gute Qualität der Speisen. Weinkarte mit beschränkter Auswahl, nur je eine Variante an offenem Wein in rot oder weiss. Leider kam der offene Rotwein direkt aus dem Kühlschrank . Spezielle, Separate Vegetarier/Veganer Karte. Service ist immer verfügbar und beratend zur Stelle. Tolle Aussicht von der grossen Terrasse auf das Geschehen auf dem Fluss, was abends unterhaltsam ist. Ein paar Parkplätze vor dem Restaurant vorhanden oder auf der gegenüber liegenden Strassenseite.
