Amidst the hustle and bustle of the city of Ayutthaya we were happy to find this oasis of quietness: Banmai87 Guesthouse, not too far from the historical park. In a beautiful and well-kept garden, a typical Thai building contains 8 modern equipped rooms, all with views on a small river with green banks. While sitting on the wooden veranda, we felt like being in the country. The family-run guesthouse offers a good breakfast (both Western and Asian) and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The family is friendly and helpful.

Sehr freundliche Gastgeber! Wundervolle Terrasse am Fluss, wo man herrlich entspannen kann, nachdem man sich die schönen Tempel von Ayutthaya angesehen hat. Jeden Abend zur Dämmerung ertönt ein unvergleichliches Konzert der Tiere! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und gute Ratschläge von der Gastgeberin Oil erhalten!

Un petit jardin de paix
Tellement un bel endroit, reposant avec les bruits de la nature, le ruisseau, tous les oiseaux et reptiles qui y vivent... un petit jardin de paix. L'hôte Sukanya est absolument adorable! Elle m'a gentiment laissée rester jusqu'à 20h dans l'appartement au lieu du checkout le matin, et m'a conduite à mon bus de nuit le soir.
C'était super calme, propre, le lit super grand et confortable. C'est loin des activités et parc historique à pieds, mais à seulement 10 min en Grab. Il y a aussi des vélos en libre service disponibles. 7 eleven au coin de rue en cas de besoin de derniere minute!

We loved staying at this charming family-run guesthouse in Ayutthaya. The peaceful, minimalist vibe and attention to design made it feel like a relaxing retreat. The spacious wooden terrace overlooking a back-door river added to the laidback atmosphere. Despite the remote village feel, the location is quite central in Ayutthaya. The lovely host went above and beyond to ensure we felt at home, even taking us on a fun bicycle tour of ancient temples and markets. There are several free bikes available for guest use. With its character and hospitality, this is a 10/10 guesthouse I'd highly recommend to anyone seeking accommodation in Ayutthaya with more charm than a typical hotel.

Lovely small-scale hotel/bed & breakfast with 6 rooms on the river. Run by a lovely family. Super clean, comfortable beds and an extensive American breakfast. Everything is as good as new. Silent air conditioning, sun loungers in front of the room and beautiful views. Peaceful location and free bicycles to explore Ayutthaya. We stayed there for 3 nights and were very pleased with the staff, the accommodation and the room. Definitely recommended if you want to be in nature and don't feel like staying in an impersonal hotel.
