The Camby, Autograph Collection

Newly renovated- gone is the trying hard to be cutting edge back to classic decor (i.e., more like when it was the Ritz). Room moderate room to room noise, from street and from corridor. Room has iron & board, shampoo, conditioner, bath gel, lotion, hair dryer, lighted makeup mirror, room safe, in-room coffee maker. In room recycle bin. Robes. Shower only - no tub. Valet only parking. Small pool. Gym treadmills, two Peloton bikes, two ellipticals. Easy to walk to lots of restaurants. Great staff.

This is a mixed review honestly. The hard product itself is very nice. The floors and decor of the room are at above the level of many autograph properties. I especially liked the chairs, sitting area in the standard rooms. My bathroom was very cramped but I believe it’s just bc I happened to have the smallest room type on the floor plan. 1105. But, still very nice. The staff was very friendly and addressed the several issues that came up. At check in my room request (quite, highest floor) that I had sent several times had not only been plainly ignored but my room type had even been lowered from what I booked. BUT a manager fixed all that and gave me a summit room on the highest floor. There were some other minor mix ups that were corrected. My biggest concern — also addressed and politely - was that my room rate was upcharged somehow. I just happen to notice it looked wrong and they corrected it and emphasized they appreciated it was a serious mistake. It’s my client’s money for business so I take it seriously. I have to be fair and say I would stay here again. It’s a four star property with a friendly staff. Again lovely interiors throughout.

In a word, perfect. I’m a dedicated Marriott traveler and rely on their Autograph locations to provide me the Bonvoy Elite experience I appreciate so much from the brand. The Camby, from start to finish, provided a classy and comfortable experience that ensured I’ll choose them from now on when in PHX. The property was a Ritz and while it may not eclipse the lavish quality of that brand, it’s also nowhere near expensive. Rooms are beautifully appointed, comfortable and quiet. I stayed in a suite; it was roughly 700 sq ft and pristine. Bed, shower, room temp, amenities all in line with a top tier brand. The bar downstairs pours great drinks and is well designed; classy! Gym was solid!!!!!! Tons of free weights, kettles, you name it! So cool. So clean. Pool is small, but it’s a clean setup w a bar open on weekends. Location is great, central and close to plenty of great spots! Check out The Mercer in The Esplanade next door, great martinis!! The scents, the design, the peace - all on point! Above all, however, is the people. Incredible service, these people are committed to top service! Big props to Teyonna at the front desk! Total sweetheart (and great handwriting!) Book this stay

This hotel is outstanding. The decor, the cleanliness, the space availabilities, and the young guys working the vehicle parking were really outstanding. Our room had a wonderful view and while we didn’t use the pool it looked very nice. Eating options were close; ie right across the street!

I was surprised to not see any options for bottled water in the room, complimentary or for a charge. During check in the front desk person didn't share any property information, let me know if there was breakfast or coffee in the morning available. If there was, I didn't see it. The pool looked nice but I didn't use it.

The swimming pool is basically useless since it is very small and very shallow. The grounds were large enough to have built a decent size lap pool. Salt water is used, however, which makes it nice to be in. There were times when the hotel's sound system was playing music a bit loud and it wasn't the best music, but then again, I'm older so I shouldn't complain. Younger people who are here on business, and there were many of those, probably like it, and that is as it should be. The young folks tending the bar in Yellowbell are pleasant and friendly, as are the young men managing the cars and parking for guests. The weight room could use a sign asking users to replace weights heavier than 15lbs. All in all, I rate our experience here as excellent! Thank you.
