Very disappointing stay. The hotel’s Internet did not work properly for Marriott Bonvoy members — front desk had to comp us for free use. We were subject to constant construct/repair work on the eighth floor — noise, dirt, etc. Maybe, close a floor to fix it? The lobby store — run by an outside firm — was constantly taking long, random breaks (it’s supposed to be open 7 am to 10 pm, but often was closed for multiple hours) when staff was questioned, they were rude and suggested people needed to learn how to read a clock (they claimed it said back by 7:45 — it said 6:45, and we were there at 6:42 and it was closed, only to come back 45 minutes later and the store was still closed). Awful and rude — the room, a six-night stay for a taekwondo tournament — was not cheap. We expect basic decency and reasonable quiet when we stay at a large, urban hotel. This hotel failed miserably. We will not be back.
