Belair Beach Hotel

Can’t fault the staff who were always pleasant and helpful. Furniture is old and outdated but beach location is to die for! One snag we found was that the hotel is isolated and there is no public transport nearby. Nearest shop is a long walk away. We had to take taxis everywhere which are very expensive .All in all highly recommended but be aware you need to hire a car!

I gave 3 stars only because the first room was swarming with tiny ants on the dark colored couch and they got into my daughter's bag and clothes. The staff did act quickly to relocate us to another room. It was very difficult and uncomfortable having to go through my daughter's items to make sure we got rid of them, and double check the rest of ours in order to avoid taking ants to another room or bringing them back home with us. The new room was just fine. There were we had no issues. The customer service was truly great from the time we arrived. We did enjoy having assigned beach chairs with canopies. Also, the beach was beautiful and we loved being able to enjoy every bit of it.

The BEST hotel in St. Maarten. The room was literally on the beach with an unbeatable view. I’ve stayed at a few hotels in St. Maarten, but this was by far my favorite. We spent all week baking in the sun and then cooling off in the AC in our room, rinsing, and repeating. 11/10 experience and will definitely be coming back.

Highlights of our stay were view from the balcony and the beach.There is a short hike to Fort Amsterdam with nice views.Staff was pleasant but not much service (check in/out).Beach chairs are assigned and has to be occupied by 10am,otherwise it’s reassigned.Beach towel is only given/exchanged once a day (pouring rain or not),8-5.Beach is nice size,semiprivate,at the doorstep.Sadly,there is trash that people leave behind and staff don’t seem to clean.Common areas look dirty.I was going to write off room condition to extremely dated but was actually dirty on top of it.All rooms are nice size:2 bedroom,2 bathroom suites,with kitchen,living and balcony facing the beach.Bedrooms were poorly painted over dirt,no windows unless you want to see & be seen by other occupants(they face the walkway).Furniture crooked and dusty,kept clothes in suitcase.Bathrooms had someone’s hair on walls & bathtub.Strange splash marks by & on toilet.Living & dining areas were decent.Didn’t use the kitchen,but utensils there didn’t look clean.Spent most of our time on the balcony,slept in bed overnight (sheets appeared to be clean).If it wasn’t for balcony and beach,I wouldn’t have stayed there.Food options are limited to one mediocre cafe that serves breakfast,lunch & dinner.Restaurants in the adjacent resort weren’t great either (except a taco spot).Plenty of food options within short drive.Pool gave motel vibes,didn't use.Great potential but everything needs major upgrade.Will not be back until then.

Everyone at the Belair Beach hotel was so accommodating and friendly.

Perfect location. Room and building were old but very clean. People were nice. Not crowded at all. Close to divi where there are food options
