Overall the stay was as you'd expect from a premier inn. The staff we nice and friendly and the room was clean. My only gripes are that the bed was so hard that I work up with back ache several times in the night and that the breakfast the next day was tasteless and dropping with grease that had that old off taste to it. I'd stay here again if I needed to but I wouldn't expect a restful sleep and would use the nearby services for breakfast instead of using the one provided by the hotel.

Conveniently located close to the A3 junction and just a short walk into town The normal Premier quality, with a Beefeater restaurant attached. However it also enjoys a McDonalds and an M&S food outlet on site. A stroll into town offers several other eating options. The WiFi was good apart from in the restaurant

I stay in premier inns a lot and this particular one is definitely due for an upgrade. That said, the room and bed was clean and comfortable so job done there. The lady in reception was super helpful and went above and beyond to help me. I think her name was Kerry. The restaurant was fully booked when I arrived so book in advance is my suggestion or go elsewhere as the food was average. Due to the older design, the doors still click when shut quite loudly, so shout out to the group of people coming in at 2.30am!!! If the door slamming didn’t wake you up, the loud voices would have!!! But that’s not premier inns fault. It’s just annoying that people are so inconsiderate.

First impressions; great car park. Next impressions, hotel scruffy, cold, worn out. For more years than I can recall, we have been using Premier Inn hotels. Not the best welcome I've ever had. Seemed to take ages to find our booking, made some days previously. Our room was cold, gloomy, poor lighting, scruffy and worn out. Air Con/heater would not provide warm air, despite several visits to reception. Eventually turned it off and resorted to thermals. Evening meal OK, staff good. Asked to change tables due to excessive 'background music'. Immediately told they were fully booked, at 5.30pm?? Eventually we agreed to be gone ASAP, so another table found. Food good, service excellent. No time to hand about for a coffee, fully booked, remember? Half empty when we left!! Breakfast. A sort of welcome, similar to that in a morgue! Told to find a table and help yourself. My mantra to staff is, if the job makes to that unhappy, go find another. Breakfast good but no sign of any staff on leaving. Booking out easy as expected. Could not wait to get on our way. No intention of returning.

My husband and I travelled from Lincolnshire to the premier inn in petersfield to visit family who live nearby, we were greeted at reception by a lady called Debs, she was welcoming and explained to us how to register our car in the car park for the weekend, she was professional and told us that if we needed anything at all to speak to her. Our room was immaculate, the bathroom was well stocked and we had been told where the extra pillows were should we need them, coffee, tea, milk and sugar were provided in our room as well as kettle cups and tea spoons and there was an area in the lobby to restock these should we need to.The bed was so comfortable, we had the best night's sleep. We will definitely be staying here again, the cost of the rooms are very reasonable. And with welcoming staff like Debs it is a pleasure to stay there. The only downside and it was nothing to do with the premier inn, but the beefeater attached to the hotel closes at 10pm which is a bit of a shame as after a long drive it would of been nice to relax in the bar for a short while, this I was told by Debs the receptionist was a new closing time and again nothing to do with the premier inn at all. All in all my husband and I had a wonderful stay and have already booked rooms for our next trip to the south coast.

Great stay overall. Debs on reception was fantastic. She was extremely friendly/helpful and explained everything well so there was no confusion. Travelled for work and the WiFi was also excellent and allowed me to work as usual during my stay. Would stay here again.
