Wonderful stay! Friendly staff. Stylish, clean and comfortable room. This is our second time staying here. It was consistent with our first stay. A tasty grab & go breakfast included. Will be back!

Really nice, modern, clean room. Heidi, the evening front desk clerk, was friendly and offered local information. She also recommended The Hermitage Tap Room for dinner. The food and service was very good, it was so nice to just walk out the front door of the hotel and into the restaurant.

I was so happy I chose the Hermitage Inn and Taphouse. I wanted to find a stay for one night as I was travelling through West Virginia. I didn't have a specific destination in mind along my route, and chose this as it was basically half way home. The Inn was perfect- the rooms modern and very clean. The AC and wifi all worked well. I loved the adjacent taproom and the small town feel of Petersburg. I enjoyed talking with Patience at the front desk, and she was also very kind and helpful when it turns out I left something at the hotel. I couldn't have asked for a better stay in the region, thanks!

I stayed here for 4 nights in May of 2025 while doing some hiking in the region (Dolly Sods, Seneca Rocks, etc.). Overall the stay here was a great experience. The rooms were clean/quiet and look to have been recently updated. Check-in/out was super easy, the staff was very friendly/helpful, ample parking, and having the taphouse/restaurant right next door was great/convenient (fantastic cheeseburger... there's a reason all of the staff recommend it). The breakfast was nothing special, but it's something... and I usually just walked to the Grove Cafe/Bakery up the street. It was the perfect place to stay while exploring the region, and if I'm back in the area I would definitely stay again.

Most up to date hotel in area. Also the most expensive. Think they could lower their prices by $20-50 a night depending on the night and really clean up. Restaurant is now open again for lunch and dinner with a bar. Check in and out was easy and fast. Stayed for 3 nights. Continental breakfast in lobby. Keurig coffee machine in room with fridge. Several breakfast places close by, a diner, a bakery and McDonalds. Beds were good. Cable tv.

I stayed only one night and checked out before 630 am next day - that is how anxious I was to get away. First, as you walk in through the front door, there were atleast 5 women just sitting and standing around. They were all in uniform. The front desk person was not around, so they had to call her to get to the front desk. No issue with that apart from the judgmental looks the women sitting/standing around were giving me - an Asian female. I booked the queen historic suite. It is not part of the main building, the room was in a structure built above the tap room restaurant. The room was so dingy, it did not even have a closet to hang clothes in. Bathroom was tiny. Toilet paper on the thingy was almost gone, and no other toilet roll to be found. I went back to the front desk, still the same women sitting/standing there, I wonder why they had so much staff just sitting/standing around. In any case, I request a room change. I only had clothes on hangers as this was just an overnight trip. They were gracious enough to give me another room. The room was again in the structure above the restaurant. This time the room was okay but the bathroom was one of the tiniest I have ever seen. Even NY hotel rooms have bigger bathrooms. This room had no full length mirror, jus a tiny mirror in the tiny bathroom. This room looked like it had not been cleaned in while, it was dusty as hell. it also had a balcony and that was full of dust and other stuff. I saw few big ants running around on the floor. There was no carpet and the floor was so dusty. In any case, I spent the night and checked out as soon as I could the next morning. I would not want to stay there again. I can still feel the judgmental looks from the women. I had to give my car make and model for the overnight parking, I got more judgmental looks. Not going back again, ever.

Great Room in the area Back in town to take care of some family business, just needed a nice place to rest for the night. This place is definitely worth the money. The lobby is in the back/main building. The restaurant and Taphouse as well as some suites are up front. We were in a room on the front of the building, plenty of light. The curtains were mid-alright. The flooring was nice, the main room was vinyl floor with an area rug. Plenty of space, nice little area for a fridge and sink. No microwave in room, so if you’re wanting to reheat leftovers you have to go downstairs. The bathroom was nicely done and well appointed. Plenty of linens, well lit.
